A caller enquired if I was acquainted with a couple of young ladies I’ve never come across in my life. She then went on to insinuate that they may have made a reservation under my name and that they supposedly picked me. It’s all rather dodgy, if you ask me!

This person rang me sayin my mate had recommended me for a free makeover and photoshoot. Thing is, I haven’t even talked to that mate in yonks so I was a bit iffy about it. In the end, I just blocked the number and forgot about it, but then I messaged my mate who confirmed that it was actually genuine.

Got a call from someone called Sumita claiming to be from some lottery group with 150 winners. Said it was for the Euromillions and I’d won something. After asking loads of questions, they said I had to provide bank details for a direct debit. Told them I’m skint and they just hung up. Easy enough.

This was a total cold call scam. They promise a "free" photoshoot but nothing is really free, is it? They push you hard to buy extra pictures and then try to sweeten the deal by asking for your mates’ contact info so they can try to scam them as well. Proper dodgy.

They rang me last week and then again earlier this week. I didn’t pick up this time. But last week they knew me by name and mentioned someone with a foreign-sounding name saying they suggested I call. I have no clue who that person is, so I just ended the call.

They offer cheap photoshoots if you share your phone contacts, so loads of people end up giving their contacts away and that’s probably why they keep ringing.

02038974630 has rung me a couple of times now, but they've never left a voicemail. Luckily, my t####er App flagged it as spam from Broadway Studios and blocked it straight away. I took a look at their website and it seems proper enough, yet I don’t live anywhere near SW London or have any interest in makeovers or photoshoots. The main thing that bugs me is how on earth they got hold of my personal number to begin with?

This is Broadway Studios, a genuine photo studio. If they rang you, it’s either someone recommended you or you signed up for a shoot. Right now, they’re offering free photo sessions for singles, couples, or families, including hair, make-up and free prints. They do ask for a £25 deposit to secure your booking but you get it back on the day of the shoot. This isn’t a con. If you’re not interested, just pick up and say no, so they can offer the spot to someone else.

I recently enrolled for a photoshoot after seeing an ad on Facebook, and this morning I received a call informing me I’d been chosen for it. Everything seemed splendid until they requested a £25 deposit via card details over the phone. They wanted my card number, expiry date, and the three-digit verification code. I promptly ended the conversation, exclaiming, 'You don’t need that information, goodbye!' It’s quite suspicious when someone asks for such personal details over the phone! Even banks don’t do that!

Some rubbish firm called Broadway Studio got in touch, saying two so-called 'friends' (one I know, the other a total stranger) had given them my number. I told them straight away to remove my details from their list and not pass it on to anyone else (GDPR protects me on this). The mate I actually know, who I hadn’t spoken to in years, got a sharp warning off me about sharing my number without asking first. If he does it again, I’ll be handing his contact to every PPI, crash claim and insurance telemarketer I can find.

Well, my mate did go for the photo session and didn’t pay a penny, so I don’t think it’s a scam. He mentioned putting my number down because he got a bigger discount on the pics he wanted to buy. When they called me, they were quite rude after I said I live outside London, and kept pestering me to tell them when I’d be back in town - way too aggressive for my liking. Definitely a no from me, so I just blocked them.

Got a call saying I won a ‘free photoshoot’ from a mate who supposedly recommended me. Don’t actually know that mate well since she’s more of a friend to my sister than me. I told them I needed to check with my mate first. Then they went on and on with loads of questions, which felt really nosy and irritating. I had to be quite straight with them saying I just wanted to verify, and only then did they stop. Definitely a scam, and I didn’t appreciate the pushy vibe. Blocked straight away.

Bit strange since they kept ringing me twice daily before I even answered. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

This number belongs to a photography business. A mate of mine did a shoot with them, and apparently she had to hand over all her contacts - seems like some kinda 'payment' method. I've been getting calls from this number daily but didn’t pick up as I had no idea who it was. When I checked here, I found out what’s going on. My friend’s pictures turned out well, which is better than what some others have said about their results.

They ring me nearly every day around midday. I’ve never picked up so I’m not sure who they are but from what I’ve read, it’s probably a fake modelling agency. If you ask me, it’s best not to answer and just block them to be on the safe side. Hope this was useful!

She mentioned that someone had passed on my number to this lad, saying he recommended me - but I’ve never even spoken to the guy, I only know his name. This firm’s actually genuine and not a con. They just push really hard with their marketing and sales tactics. They make folks hand over their phone numbers, or if someone downloads their app, they automatically collect the numbers.

Situated in Wimbledon, London, you'll encounter Broadway Studios. Unfortunately, they operate like con artists, enticing you with a photoshoot and an array of complimentary goodies for just a £10 deposit. This involves handing over your card details, but beware - the nitty-gritty is conveniently concealed until you're already locked in. By then, you could be on the path to waving goodbye to your hard-earned cash. On the flip side, they are indeed a bona fide studio, though certainly not one you can count on. I'd strongly suggest sifting through online reviews before falling for their so-called "exclusive limited-time deal"!

No clue how these muppets got hold of my number, but they just won't quit. Picked up today and right away said, "This is like the seventh time you've called me from this number," but the bloke just ignored it and launched into his spiel. I told him I'm 85 miles out in Gloucestershire and joked that travel costs are an "investment" - said "Why don't you cover the expenses then!" Got asked all sorts of personal things like if I've got kids and stuff. Not bothered at all.

This is Broadway Studios based in London. They do photography and offer complimentary hair and makeup along with a free photo session. Afterwards, they expect you to cough up about £300 for just 5 pictures. Honestly, it's not really worth it in terms of time or cash. It's not a scam though; they seem to get your number via referrals from other clients.

It’s not really a scam or anything. When you get headshots taken at this place, they want you to suggest some people. My mate had to hand over like 25 phone numbers just to score £40 off, which is why I’m now stuck with these annoying calls as well.

A chap rang me the other day, claiming my number had been passed along by a mutual acquaintance called Antony McCarthy. I told him I had no idea who that was. Then, rather oddly, he started quizzing me about Broadway Studios. I made it clear I had zero interest in them and asked him rather firmly not to ring me again. someone called me using the name of a mate who just blocked me yesterday, then this call came through saying they recommended me. wasnt sure about it, and after checking the reviews i just ended up blocking the number.

Missed a call from them earlier, I usually don’t bother calling back. Looked up the number thanks to all the helpful posts here. It’s blocked now but seriously, HOW on earth did they get hold of my mobile? I thought I was being super cautious about where I share it!

Had a call from a woman named Atia who already knew my name, trying to sell me a photo shoot in Wimbledon. She mentioned a girl from school who supposedly recommended me, which felt a bit strange. They keep ringing me again and again, and while they haven't asked for any card info yet, after seeing all these reviews, I’m definitely gonna block the number.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from Broadway Studios. He used my first name and even the name of someone I haven’t talked to in yonks, like 5 or 6 years. After checking out reviews, it seems these guys trick people with a “free” photo session where you put down a tiny deposit, then sneak money out of your account. Plenty of people also say the pics turn out rubbish. Proper scam if you ask me. Play around with them as much as you can; the longer you mess about, the less time they’ve got to fleece other folks.

This number rang me yesterday and a man said he's from some photography biz. I asked where he got my digits, he mentioned a Rasharn Lee - I don't know anyone like that. Told him I wasn't interested. Then, today, my workmate got a call from the same number, but a lady was on the line, saying the same thing. Definitely a scam. These folks are getting braver with their tricks. Telecom companies should be making sure this kinda thing stops.

They keep ringing, so I did what my daughter suggested. Told them it’s a kid’s phone and asked if they’re trying to groom a child. They just hung up. Fingers crossed they don’t call back. How do they even get hold of private mobile numbers like that?

Some bloke rang me three times tellin me I’ve been picked for a photo shoot in Wimbledon, said it was a mate who recommended me. Wants a deposit to lock the spot. He said he’ll ring again but I’m just gonna block the number now cos it’s obviously a scam. Cheers to everyone for the heads up. These muppets should just get an honest job and quit trying to con people.

they rang me and the moment I picked up, they just hung up straight away.

They’ve been calling me every day for the past four days about some photoshoot. They said some mates had given my name, it sounded kinda familiar but weird how they already knew my name. I told them a few times I’m busy and not interested, but they just wouldn’t stop pestering. I’ve ended up blocking the number now.

They've been ringing me every single day for two weeks straight. When I eventually answered, they said I'd been randomly picked for a free photoshoot. They then asked me to pay a deposit just in case I didn’t turn up. I told them I needed to think about it to end the call. The guy sounded unsure but said I had one day to decide because the offer wouldn’t last longer than that. Yet, I’ve still been getting calls every day for the past week.

I have been getting calls from these folks. The first call was yesterday, and the lady sounded quite sincere, saying the photoshoot was free but I needed to pay a deposit.

Got a call from some photography place that was supposedly recommended by a bunch of mates with weird names I don’t even know, probably just cos my name sounds a bit ethnic. They jumped straight to asking for a deposit, which felt dodgy, but I didn’t know any of the so-called friends and they didn’t really convince me. My guess is it’s one of those prank calls where your reply is recorded and sent off to whoever set it up.

Avoid wasting your time with that photo shoot company.

I'd wholeheartedly suggest taking advantage of the complimentary photo session; it's a rare chance that doesn't come around often. But if you're keen on having your credit or debit card thoroughly cleaned out, then by all means, dive right in!

I opted not to pick up the call since I’ve no connections associated with this number. Upon investigating it on the site, it became apparent that it’s linked to shady characters or those up to no good for monetary gain. It's high time the authorities stepped in to track them down and administer some justice.

Got a call from someone claiming a distant mate had suggested I get a free photoshoot. Told them I wasn't really up for it.

On Wednesday, the 24th of January, I received a rather dodgy call on my mobile.

Got a call and they used my first name, saying a couple of mates (names I had no clue about) suggested me for a photo session in Wimbledon. That’s when I knew it was dodgy, told them it wasn’t true and hung up.

What a dodgy situation! A person I barely know suggested I pop down this week, claiming I’d receive a complimentary photo. Naturally, I was curious about the purpose of this photo - was it for some modelling gig or something? But when I probed further, she abruptly said, “I’ve got to dash, bye!” and just like that, the call cut out. Quite fishy if you ask me!

They called me a couple times but I couldn’t ring them back. Then I got another call from a number pretty close, so I think it’s the same people.

So this number rang me just a bit ago, I answered but kept quiet, then they just said "hello" and mentioned my name. I ended the call straight after, but it's kinda odd that they knew my name like that.

I find it really suspicious when they say you won a photo session but you can’t ring them back. If they won’t let you call the number they phoned you from, how trustworthy can they be? I gave my card info once and if something shady happens, you might not get your money back. Plus, the studio’s contact they gave me was nothing like the original caller’s number, which made me even more wary.

This Friday, I received a rather dubious phone call claiming I had won a photoshoot in Wimbledon, but the number was unrecognised. The caller insisted that a friend of mine had put my name forward and that I needed to provide my card details to secure my prize. When I asked him to send me some details by email since I was out and about, he told me they only operate by phone and have no website. I haven’t yet had a chance to check with my mate to see if he really did recommend me as I've been swamped with other things. After receiving yet another call from the same number today, I decided to investigate further. I was relieved to discover that there is indeed a legitimate photoshoot studio in Wimbledon, but it has a different contact number and they're happy to provide information via email. I strongly advise caution with this number-it's a scam! Please make sure to report it and block it as well.

My son recently went to Broadway Studios and honestly, the experience was lovely, very pampering and relaxing. But just a heads up, if you like the photos they take, be ready to spend a few hundred quid because they really push you to buy them. It's a great day out but the selling of photos is a bit relentless!

Received a cheeky call earlier claiming I was referred by a mate. I stayed on the line just long enough to hear them request my card info. Absolutely not! Not falling for that one!

For a whole week, this number kept ringing but when I picked up, nothing. Tried returning the call but it just wouldn't go through. So frustrating!

It’s rather interesting that the photography studio they claim to be associated with has a phone number that is just one digit off from their own. This makes it all too simple to confuse this dodgy number with that of the genuine studio when you look it up. Quite the clever ruse, I must say!

I can relate to that! A so-called 'friend' of mine recommended a complimentary photoshoot, despite the fact that we've barely exchanged a word in the last two years. I didn't progress much with the phone conversation as I'd come across a similar discussion on this site earlier. But let me tell you, they've been ringing my number daily this week! The bloke seemed quite sincere, yet don't let that fool you!

So, this mate of mine, who I haven’t chatted with in ages - like two years - told me about this free photoshoot thing. I was a bit wary, especially after checking out a forum on another site like this one. They ended up ringing me every day this week! The bloke on the phone seemed alright, but honestly, don’t trust it that easily. Plus, the photo studio they claim to be from has a number that's almost the same but not quite - just one digit off - so it’s quite easy to get them mixed up!

There was this Broadway event happening over in Wimbledon, caught my eye.
