I've had calls from DAG about four times this past week. Today some bloke called Jonny was on the phone, and last week it was a guy named Harry. Each time it's the same thing - trying to sell me an extended warranty for my washing machine. It's really starting to get on my nerves. Thinking of getting one of those call blockers because it's just too much now. I don't want to be impolite, but they always ring at the worst moments, which is really frustrating.

Just got a call from this number a little while ago, and they messed up my name straight away, which annoyed me. Then, weirdly, they knew where I live and even brought up something about a washing machine. I got a bit sharp with them, asking who exactly they were, and then they just hung up. Honestly, it creeped me out that they knew my address - definitely be careful, sounds like some dodgy scam!

Got loads of calls from this number. Eventually, I picked up and a bloke was asking for me by name. I said yes, and then he just ended the call straight away.

Got a call on my home phone, they asked for me by name. When I asked who it was, they said they were calling around 4.30 and claimed to be with DAG, talking about a washing machine. They said they were from the Hotpoint group but when I told them I’m a white goods engineer and asked which washer they meant, they had no idea and just cut the call.

I keep getting calls from these folks even though I’m on the Do Not Call list. The moment my answerphone picks up, they hang up straight away. The caller ID says DAG Marketing, which seems to be run by a single person, someone called David Gorrie. Strangely, he’s always registering and closing down companies like it’s a hobby. Like a lot of peeps here, I swear there was some sort of party noise behind the caller. The number looked like a usual 0203 one but seemed to be missing a digit or something. I wouldn't bother ringing back, not sure if its some premium rate scam but if you can, block it. If you fancy a laugh and some free time, mess with them a bit, it’s their loss after all. Just whatever you do, don’t give out any personal info to these muppets.

Got a call from a bloke with an English accent who said he was from DAG, mentioning my washing machine’s insurance needed renewing. He said the price dropped this year from a hundred quid to just £66. He started with, “Can I just check if your washing machine is still working fine?” Total scam alert. I don’t even have any insurance on my washing machine. Locked up all the doors and windows after that! Honestly, scammers should really try to get a proper job instead of fooling folks like me.

Beware, it's definitely a con! They ring up about your washing machine or fridge warranty being out of date. When you ask questions, they dodge and then just hang up. Don’t give them any personal details, they’re only after your bank info to claim you’re insured or something. Totally a SCAM!

They've been ringing while we weren’t home, but never left a message. Today I picked up and a man with a native English accent asked for my husband by name. When I questioned who he was, he just hung up immediately. Reading through earlier posts, it definitely sounds like a scam. We’re fed up with these calls, whether from here or abroad. We’ve been on the TPS for years, but it does seem useless against these persistent pest calls. Isn’t there any way to put an end to this harassment, especially aimed at older folks? We’re older, yes, but we’re not daft!

Somebody called and actually said my name right before just cutting off. It really bugs me how these calls keep coming. Why can't the phone companies just step up and fix this? They have the tech to block these annoying calls and boot these annoying peeps off the networks, even if they’re coming from other countries. It’s about time they did something!

When I told him I didn’t have one, he suddenly said it was actually under my son’s name and gave me his name too. I didn’t fancy this so I just hung up straight away. Got a call from some bloke both yesterday and today telling me my washing machine cover with DAG had run out and I had to renew it. I told him straight up that I don’t have any sort of cover and I’m not interested, plus he shouldn’t be ringing me as my number’s on the Telephone Preference Service. Got a call about some washing machine insurance that supposedly ran out yesterday. I told them we don’t have any cover since the machine was bought used. They insisted we did and said they'd send the info by post. They already had our card info and tried to get the 3-digit code. When I asked them to confirm the card number, they gave a number that wasn’t mine. I said I’d ring back and they gave me another number, 0203637996. I checked online and it’s a known scam. Told them to send everything in writing. Definitely a scam.

A bloke rang up trying to push me into buying an extended warranty, claiming mine had just expired. We never bothered to renew the warranty once it ran out 2 years ago! He kept going on about it being “£25 cheaper than my last warranty, now just £75.” Then, out of nowhere, he just cut me off! Not long after, I got another call but when I picked up a recorded voice just said “Goodbye” and hung up straight away. Thinking it's time to block these numbers!
