Today I got a call at the office from someone asking for Mark, the CEO. I told them he wasn’t around (honestly, we don’t just hand him over for random calls). When I asked why they were ringing, they said it was about our utility contracts. We’re constantly bombarded with calls like these, so I just said we weren’t interested and hung up. Properly irritating.

I get calls from this number maybe once or twice every week, and it's always some recorded message claiming CareUK has been trying to reach me. They then ask me to press 1 if I want them to stop calling. Honestly, I don’t think it’s really CareUK since they wouldn’t have any reason to phone me in the first place.

They called once more.. I always ignore it and never bother leaving a voicemail. I just don’t pick up when this number rings.

When I picked up, all I could hear was some background noise and no one really speaking straight away. Then someone said they were from an energy company wanting to chat about my current deal. I quickly said I wasn’t interested and that I don’t deal with unsolicited calls like this. I ended the call before they could say anything else. I’m pretty sure they’ll ring back again sometime soon.

This number seems dodgy - I got nothing but silence at first, then after being passed along, there was a really loud buzzing noise when someone finally picked up. Feels like some kinda scam or call centre. Best to steer clear!
