The chap on the other end had an awful Estuarine accent that was frankly a bit dodgy - you’ve got to wonder who’d engage with someone like that! When I quizzed him on why he was calling to pitch finance, he insisted he wasn’t selling anything at all. So, I asked him what on Earth he was actually offering! He just avoided the question. Then, I pointed out he had called me; he got flustered and started getting a bit shirty, raising his voice. I had a giggle at his expense before eventually hanging up.
