watch out, the last few digits of the number can change any time, so don’t be fooled. this is definitely a scam, and sadly these scammers don’t care who they scam. ive had to block at least five different numbers after figuring out it was the same gang behind it. the more folks know and warn others, the better chance we have of shutting them down. lucky i answered to hear that weird bell ringing in the background - that’s their creepy “victory” sound or something. let’s spread the word and mess up their game. stay safe everyone!

I saw the number but didn’t pick up since it was unfamiliar. No message was left, so I figured it was just another spam call. I've gone ahead and blocked it now!

I just got a call from this number asking how long I’d worked in the UK and what pension I’m entitled to. Didn’t really get a chance to answer properly before the call just cut off. No clue what that was about.

Didn't manage to answer the call quick enough, being an expat living in Germany.

Just got a call from someone called “Anna” claiming to be from “IIM” offering pension advice for expats. Basically, she was trying to convince me to cash in my pension and share the money with them for their guidance. In hindsight, I probably should’ve played along a bit longer to see what this company is about. I reckon she found my number through LinkedIn since that’s the only spot online where my phone and location details show up on my CV.

I got two calls from 02038852925 on my German phone, but they didn’t leave any voicemail. The number showed up as 15108/19. Quite strange.

They called me a few times since I moved to France, talking about my missus' pension with a really thick accent. Sounded proper dodgy to me. I'd steer well clear if I were you.

When I was in Spain, I got a call on my Dubai number from a woman with a poor connection. She said she was from a company, maybe called Aquent or something like that. The call dropped before we could really talk. I initially assumed it was some kind of financial firm, but apparently they’re making international calls too.

Better to just ignore it and not bother calling back.

Got a call from this number just now. Seemed really dodgy to me. They wouldn't say who they were and rang me on a number I don't have listed anywhere. Watch out for this one.

This is definitely a con. The folks ringing you aren’t with ILM Financial Ltd. There’s a company called IIM Global (International Lead Management) that might be doing some cold calls. We've already let both the FCA and Action Fraud in the UK know about this. My advice? Just hang up if anyone phones about your pension. A rep from the FCA recently mentioned, “any cold call regarding your pension is trying to scam your savings.”

Got a missed call from 020 3885 2925. Since I’m currently overseas but still connected to the UK, I’m wondering if this was 1) some urgent news about a family member back home, probably from the 0207 region or 2) just another irritating scammer pretending to be Microsoft with a strong accent. And seriously, does a 0203 code even exist?
