He also mentioned I was a UK account and needed to update his records. There was a lot of background noise, like a busy call centre. I told him he already had my info and didn’t need me to confirm anything, as this sounded dodgy. He insisted it couldn’t be a scam since he knew my name and number. When I quizzed him about when I bought my washing machine, he guessed two years ago and said it was a Becko, both completely wrong. I asked to speak with his supervisor, but he told me he was the supervisor and the line manager.
