Had a call earlier from a lady claiming to be from Aldecore about some accident I supposedly had in the last few years. When I asked her how they got my details, she mentioned something called the Road Traffic Accident Statistics database. I’m registered with the TPS too. As soon as I said I wouldn’t confirm having an accident and tried to ask more, she just ended the call. The voice sounded like a recording and the replies felt like they were automated. Feels dodgy like a fraud attempt to me.

I've been receiving calls from these individuals for several years now regarding an incident in which I was stationary in my vehicle. Thankfully, there were no injuries to me or anyone else involved. I informed my insurance provider about the matter, and they took care of the repairs at one of their authorised garages for the minor damage incurred. The only entities privy to the details were my insurance provider and the garage that handled the work. So, who’s leaking my information? I doubt it was my insurance firm, which seems to point the finger at the garage. It’s outrageous that data protection seems utterly ineffective; it’s ridiculous that my personal information, such as my name and phone number, can be shared with strangers attempting to persuade me to file a claim for an injury I never experienced. I never pick up if I don’t recognise the number, so I always look it up on sites like this or just google it to see who’s behind it. Really glad I looked this time because loads of others have been getting calls from them too. Honestly, the government or phone companies need to step in and do something to block these kind of calls.

Just got a call from someone pretending I’d been in a car crash - total scam alert! They’re obviously trying to trick people with fake accident stories. Watch out for this kind of nonsense.

Got a call claiming there'd been an accident, but turns out there wasn’t one. The people on the other end weren’t exactly pleasant either. Not a nice experience at all.
