I've had a call from someone purporting to be affiliated with the NHS, supposedly offering various treatments, especially for managing pain.

They came across as quite credible, but their main aim appears to be getting hold of your credit card information.

I received a phone call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming to be from Lloyd's Pharmacy. She wanted to confirm whether I would be home to accept a delivery of my Glucosamine and Chondroitin tablets. During the conversation, she requested that I jot down a code number to pass on to the delivery driver, and then proceeded to ask for my card details. I quickly grew suspicious and accused her of attempting a scam, after which she abruptly hung up without saying another word.

Got a call from a woman, sounded with a thick Asian accent, claiming to be from Lloyd's Pharmacy about some vitamins that were supposedly prescribed to me. I had no idea about any prescription at all. She asked if I'd be in this afternoon to accept the delivery and said she'd provide a code for the courier. Then she suddenly asked for my card info. I told her I suspected it was a dodgy call and she just hung up straight away.

Got a call from an Asian lady who oddly knew my name and where I lived. She asked if I’d be home around 11 am tomorrow so she could drop off some medication. I kept telling her I’ve never had any meds delivered before, but she just didn’t seem to get it. Eventually, she gave up and ended the call.

Got a call from a woman who didn’t speak English well and had the wrong name and postcode for me. She claimed the doctor advised me to take glucosamine after my hip surgery and told me a delivery would arrive at my home around 4.30pm today. Then, she asked me to confirm my identity by giving her my visa card details! That’s when I got really suspicious and quickly ended the call.

Beware, it's a scam. I got a call from an Asian lady asking for my credit card info claiming it was about some "medicine" I supposedly ordered. Funny thing is, these calls tend to come right after I make a purchase from a popular vitamin company that’s based around the Channel Isles. Seems fishy to me.

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent the other day. She asked for me by name and said she was with some health and wellness group. She started off by asking how I was and what I do to stay healthy. Every time I pressed her why she called, she just kept saying she was checking in on me. Claimed she’s calling elderly folks about health stuff. My partner wasn’t having any of it and just told her off before hanging up. I’ve since blocked the number. Looks like she was hoping to catch older people who might be more trusting, but not me!
