Got a call from a guy claiming to be from some insurance firm about renewing my washing machine insurance. He said the price had gone down from £99 to £66. I just listened until he started suggesting sending out an engineer, then mentioned I hadn't actually insured the machine last year. He quickly said that the manufacturer’s warranty would’ve covered it. When I told him it’s been over 20 years since I bought it and was shocked a manufacturer’s warranty could last that long, I hinted he might be trying to scam me. Doesn’t surprise me at all, he just hung up on me!
