Got a call from Deliveroo, was from the restaurant saying they swapped something in my order. When I rang back, all I got was a dialling noise even though the line was apparently answered. I reckon it’s because I actually reached Deliveroo’s automated system first, and then it just connected me straight through to the restaurant without any message playing. Bit confusing, really.

Got a call from Deliveroo saying my order was changed up a bit. When I rang back, all I got was a dial tone after it answered. I reckon I ended up ringing Deliveroo's automated system, which then quietly passed my call to the restaurant, but without any message or anything. Bit odd, really.

Judging by the comments, I reckon it’s Deliveroo. I got a delivery from them more than an hour ago with no issues, but just got a call saying the driver’s outside but can’t find my place... When I said I was a bit lost, they just hung up. It was all a bit unclear, not sure what the fuss was about.

Received a call at half past nine this evening. The person on the line simply said "hello" which struck me as rather peculiar given the hour. I must say, I found it strange, especially since I have no dealings with this company whatsoever. Quite the mystery!

It was Deliveroo, proper legit. They phoned up to check if I was alright with getting a replacement because they ran out of one of the items.

After I made my order, the phone number said the restaurant was shut and couldn’t deliver my meal, asking me to cancel it. But Deliveroo’s app showed my order was still being made, so I wasn’t able to cancel. Customer support also said the restaurant was getting my food ready. In the end, my order did get cancelled, so maybe the guy was telling the truth after all.

For real. The call didn’t show it was a local number but it was actually from the takeaway I’d ordered from on Deliveroo, letting me know one of the dishes wasn’t in stock and asking what else I wanted instead.
