Got a couple of calls supposedly from HMRC but the accent was clearly American and the words they used didn’t seem right. They rang twice within a couple of hours, and one of the calls left a voicemail. I’ve already reported it to O2.

Got a call from some guy with a US accent threatening to sue me - pretty clear it was a scam. Even though I tried to block the number, it somehow still left a voicemail!

Got a voicemail claiming to be from the police, saying I needed to call them back or they'd send the matter straight to the magistrates court. Sounds dodgy to me.

got a call from a pre-recorded bloke soundin’ clearly american, said he’s some investigating officer dealing with a lawsuit against me. asked me to ring back on that number. bit dodgy if you ask me.

Got a couple of voicemails earlier today from some automated robot voice, basically pushing some fake legal threat stuff and hoping anyone silly enough would ring them back.

I received a call on my mobile from 0203 871 3262. Curious, I returned the call using my landline, taking care to hide my number with 141. It’s clear to me that this number has no genuine London connection. As soon as they picked up, I disconnected, suspecting it’s an overseas company pretending to be local with that 0203 code. Further investigation revealed it’s associated with scams claiming to be from HM Revenue and Customs. I've now ensured to block this number completely.

I received a rather peculiar automated call from this number, claiming to be from a local courthouse. They instructed me to return the call to a different number. Quite odd, isn't it?

I've received a call from this number directing me to ring a county courthouse on an alternative number. I've decided to just block it now.

I received no response from a person, just an automated message directing me to reach out to the local courthouse...

It's quite clear that this is a scam from overseas. The automated voice, which has an American lilt, refers to a "court house" rather than our correct British terminology, like "magistrates' court" or "county court." Such giveaways definitely raise suspicion!

I received a rather alarming call earlier today from someone claiming I owe a debt to HMRC. They threatened that if I didn't settle it today, my case would proceed to court. They also requested I agree to a payment plan, insisting that I cough up at least £900 immediately. Their manner was far from professional, and they certainly tried to intimidate me with their tactics. I'm left wondering if it’s best to just block their number altogether. What do you all reckon?

I received a rather alarming call today asserting that I owe money to HMRC. The caller, who identified himself as Suresh Paul, warned that if I don’t settle the amount by the end of the day, my case could end up in court. Quite concerning, to say the least!

Received a couple of calls from this number earlier today. The initial call I picked up only to be greeted by a robotic voice claiming to be from HMRC. Then, a couple of hours later, they rang me again. I chose to give it a miss that time and have since blocked the number entirely.

In the last couple of hours, I’ve received a total of four calls from this number. Each time, it was the same old American robotic voice droning on about legal matters and dragging me off to county court. I’ve had enough and promptly blocked them!

I received a voicemail that seemed to be from HMRC, insisting that I return their call to a foreign number or face legal action. It sounded a bit dodgy, to be honest. Best to just disregard it and make sure to block that number!

This morning, I had two missed calls that piqued my curiosity, especially since I was waiting for a call from a London number. When I returned the call, a chap with a thick accent and rather limited English on the other end started asking for my name and postcode. He struggled to comprehend my surname, and then just abruptly cut the line. After reviewing the voicemails, I heard the familiar American-accented bloke instructing me to call back immediately or face consequences at the county court. I've since blocked the number and resolved to be more cautious in the future, always checking messages before returning unfamiliar calls.

I received a call from this number while overseas, and they were masquerading as the HMRC. They mentioned a 'court house,' which is quite out of place in the UK. I’d strongly advise blocking this number as it’s clearly a scam.
