Got a irritating call asking about where I get my broadband, phone, and TV bundles. The caller spoke really slowly and had a strong African/South African accent, and the connection was awful. They sounded like they weren’t properly with one firm, chatting like they were from Virgin Media and then suddenly trying to sell Sky. I got a call from some place called "Contact Network Partners" saying it was for "Promised Life" or something like that, claims I must’ve seen their ads. Total Indian call centre vibe. I decided to have a bit of fun and asked if she could hold for a moment cos I was in the office - she just dropped the call after like 30 seconds. When I asked who he was, the bloke got really rude straight away and started rattling off some scripted message.
