I just can't figure out how they managed to get hold of my personal details so accurately. This has got to be some kind of scam, feels really dodgy.

I've had a similar experience as well with those fraudsters. Received an email from what I thought was a legitimate source (complete with an extra 's' in the address, mind you). The phone offer seemed far too enticing, as if pulled straight out of a fairy tale. They dispatched a phone to me, only to find out it was the wrong model! They suggested that I 'return' it to them at a Birmingham address, which instantly raised my suspicions. I decided to reach out to Vodafone directly, and they confirmed that a new phone and line had been set up in my name. Thankfully, I'm now taking the incorrect phone back to a Vodafone store, and it turns out I won’t be saddled with that outrageous £56 a month charge for two whole years that those scammers tried to impose on me!

So some lot rang me saying they're from Carphone Warehouse, trying to sell an upgrade. They spoke with a heavy Indian accent, which kinda made me suspicious straight away.
