I recently stumbled upon an intriguing situation regarding the Euro Millions lottery. It appears I've been selected as a winner for an online contest, which entitles me to ten complimentary tickets. However, there’s a twist - they require a payment of £75 upfront. When I attempted to turn down the offer, they hung up on me straight away, not allowing a word to escape my lips. What's particularly concerning is that our telephone number is ex-directory, yet they managed to contact my mobile too. It seems some businesses are indeed peddling our personal details to these tricksters. It's rather alarming, to say the least!
