Somebody called saying they were Ella from Auto Assist, asking if i remembered the accident and if i’d made the first payment. They had my name and number, which was a bit unsettling. When i pushed for more info and said i was worried it might be a scam, asking to talk to a manager, she just said "Have a good afternoon" and ended the call. Sounds pretty shady to me.

My phone shows a scam warning whenever they call, so I usually just let it ring out and don’t pick up.

I've had multiple calls from these people, each time from a different number, clearly trying to scam me. I reckon they're a real threat, especially to older folks they probably target to con.

Got a call sayin my PC is infected. If I had called them back, won't be a nice chat at all. Just a heads up to everyone else, don’t pick up or ring those numbers!

I experienced that today as well! Can anyone suggest how to prevent it from recurring? Much appreciated!

Oh man, this really happened to me too! Out of nowhere, a message popped up on my screen saying my computer was infected and all my info was being sent to hackers around the world. It freaked me out because my laptop was brand new, only a day old, so I called the number they gave without thinking. They acted like they wanted to sort it out for me but then started pushing these expensive security plans I had to pay for. That’s when I clocked it was a total scam and hung up straight away. Seriously, stay clear of this number!

A right bunch of pesky spammers from India! They keep attempting to trick unsuspecting folks into parting with their hard-earned money for absolutely nada. Honestly, someone ought to take matters into their own hands and knock their website offline - come on, white hat heroes, where are you when we need you?!

I rang up the number, but when he requested I enter a code, I became rather uneasy and decided against it. Now, though, my computer's acting up and not functioning as it should...

A message popped up on my screen saying “your hard drive might be corrupted,” but the dodgy grammar tipped me off straight away that it was a scam. I jotted down the number 02038682233, but didn’t bother giving them a ring - figured there’s no way I’m handing over any info they haven’t already got. These muppets really need to find something better to do with their time. Clearly, they’ve tricked people before, which just makes them keep pestering others. Such losers.

AVOID THIS NUMBER AT ALL COSTS! It's nothing but a dodgy scam. If you've stumbled upon any messages prompting you to give them a ring, best to shut the tab or get rid of it entirely. It's all a ruse, and rest assured, you’re NOT infected by any viruses!

Just the other day, I made the mistake of engaging with this number-what a daft decision! Take my advice: steer well clear of it; it's nothing but a dodgy scam. I foolishly entered the code they sent me into my laptop, and I was absolutely horrified to see them rummaging through all my files. The next two hours were spent on the blower to the Police, and now I’ve had to fork out for a professional clean-up of my Laptop to get rid of the pesky virus.

What a load of nonsense! I had some chap with a Pakistani accent calling himself Mark Stewart. He tried to convince me I shouldn't switch off my computer and insisted I hit the Windows key followed by the R key. We ended up in fits of laughter at how absurd it was!

If a screen pops up that blocks you from doing anything, dont call the number they show you. To get your computer working again, hit control, alt, and delete all at once. After that, go to task manager, find your browser app in the running programs, and click “end task” in the corner. That should close the bogus block screen and let you use your computer again.

Shut it down via Task Manager, and get rid of their page for good. These spineless individuals are nothing more than keyboard warriors, lurking behind their screens from who knows where. If they’re ever apprehended, they ought to face severe consequences for their actions.

I attempted to link my Xbox 360 to my shiny new router, but it claimed my email or password was wrong, which is rather baffling, as I’m certain I’ve got them right. Then, when I booted up my Windows laptop, I was met with a message about having difficulty signing in. Suddenly, my screen was hijacked by a recorded voice insisting I ring 02038682233. What a palaver!

Received a message on my Xbox One claiming I had a virus and suggesting I ring a certain number. The chap I spoke to had a strong Indian accent and assured me everything was sorted out. I ended up parting with £49. I feel rather foolish, but tech isn't really my forte. Always thought consoles were virus-proof!

I encountered a rather alarming situation with this particular number linked to an art website. My computer suddenly froze, and out of the blue, a voice urged me to ring this number for an immediate resolution. I quickly realised it was nothing more than a scam and an utter con job. I've taken steps to report the incident to local Trading Standards, and I'm exploring legal avenues for the unwarranted infection of my computer. A computer technician managed to trace the IP address, and it's now in the hands of the authorities, so I'll keep further details under wraps. However, should you find yourself having a similar screen freeze and hear that persistent voice suggesting you call this number, just hit Ctrl + Alt + Delete and shut the page down like that. It’s simple enough and won't cause any harm to your system.

I got a pop-up warning about a major virus on my phone and it said not to try and solve it myself. Then it told me to call 02038682233 and quote some reference number they gave to get it sorted. Pretty sure it’s a scam, so watch out!

I had this pop up on my screen warning me my computer was infected and that my hard drive would be wiped in 5 mins. It told me to ring a number and quote a reference code. Don’t fall for it! If you call and give any info, they’ll get into your computer and scam you out of loads of cash. Once they’re in your system, make sure to inform the police straight away. Stay cautious!
