I received a rather unexpected cold call today. It's as if they had insider knowledge of my investments! A chap by the name of Harvey Ross was on the line, trying to entice me with a fixed-rate bond that supposedly promises a significantly higher return than what I'm currently seeing. He later rang back to share more details about the interest rates. To top it off, a so-called Compliance officer then contacted me, claiming to represent something called the Belmont Group, and was probing for my personal details. I found the whole thing rather fishy, so I decided to end the conversation there.
