I noticed a £3.75 fee on my phone bill that came from a text sent to 81777, and it’s connected to this number. I’m not sure how they got in touch with me because I never got any messages from them. When I try calling the number, it just won’t go through, so I can’t ask them to cancel the charge. I’ve read this might be a scam from the US. Has anyone got any advice on how to get these fees stopped?

Does anyone have a customer service number for those pricey premium SMS firms? They keep sending me loads of texts I don’t want and then bill me a fortune for them. Really need to get in touch to sort this out!

For months I was getting charged £4.50 every month on my phone bill for some horoscope thing I never signed up for. No clue how it started. I kept getting texts about it for about half a year. Eventually I had to ring up Vodafone to ask what was going on and they helped me block those premium rate numbers so it would finally stop. Honestly, feels like a total scam.

On the 26th of March 2018, I got an email from this number telling me I'd be billed £4.50 each month for something called Physic Alerts. They told me to text STOP to 81777 if I didn’t want to sign up. I did send the text, but now O2 is making me pay for the message. Who exactly are these lot? It’s just scandalous behaviour, especially when I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service as well.
