I got a automated call from BT saying my internet would get cut off right away due to some illegal stuff linked to my IP address. They told me to press 1 to sort it out. Total scam, don’t trust it!

Got two calls today, one on my mobile and another on my landline. The landline had a recorded message saying it was BT, warning about some illegal activity linked to my internet, and that BT had already tried to reach me. It told me to press 1 to talk to a representative, else they’d cut off my phone and broadband right away. I pressed 1 but the call dropped. Bit creepy to be honest. About an hour later, everything’s still working normally. Definitely a scam. I'd say don’t press 1 if you get these, seems risky. Marking as dangerous for sure.
