I got a call from a woman speaking with an Eastern European accent, trying to get me to review a life insurance policy. I told her I wasn’t interested at all, but she kept pushing. When I asked if they could just use the info they already have on me, she wouldn’t agree. So, I ended up ending the call.

Got a call from +442038595302 around 8:53pm, the person said they were from Quad Research and wanted to ask questions about my mobile network. I’m not a fan of surveys, especially phone ones. I asked how they found my number and told them to remove me from their list. They just ended the call. I’ve blocked the number now.

I had a missed call yesterday and, out of sheer curiosity, decided to look it up since I rarely share my number (I'm not much of a mobile phone person). Typically, my phone doesn't ring much, so it was quite amusing to discover that the number belonged to scammers wasting their energy on me.

Got a call at half past seven in the evening for some sort of survey. I asked them where they found my number, but they said they’d only reveal that if I answered their questions. Didn’t bother and just blocked them.

He kicked off by asking which mobile network I use, I said Tesco. After that, he said he couldn’t continue right now and just ended the call.

Did some digging with Ofcom, turned out the English lady had quite bad diction and sounded like she was struggling a lot - she ended the call pretty quick once I questioned her.

Got a call from a woman claiming she was with Giffgaff, but the line was awful and she had a heavy Asian accent, which made me really suspicious it was some kind of scam. Also, does Giffgaff even call people out of the blue? Ended up hanging up and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from a data research firm around 8 pm on a Friday evening. Told them it wasn’t a good time and asked if they could ring back during working hours. The earliest they could call was 5 pm!

She almost got my name right, but the foreign accent made it hard to catch what she was saying. I ended the call quickly and haven’t bothered calling back. Thinking of chucking this phone soon and I even deleted my blacklist app, so it might’ve been a number I already blocked anyway.

She had a British accent and claimed to be calling from O2, but honestly, it sounded a bit weird, almost like she was from some O2 Pluto or something. The connection was awful too. I mentioned to her that the line was terrible and thought she'd ring me back since she said she was from O2, but no such luck. Seems like it was just another spam call.
