Got a call from 0203849380 about renewing a washing machine insurance. I said I never bought one, and the bloke goes "it's a smeg machine, you can see smeg written all over it" in this proper cockney accent. At first, I thought it was a mate having a laugh, but then I looked up the number and realised it was legit!

Got a call from someone claiming I had washing machine insurance through them, said due to some new law my policy couldn’t just roll over automatically. They tried to get me to set up a new direct debit right there on the phone. I asked why it was necessary to do that again and before I could get a proper answer, the bloke just hung up. I’ve since blocked the number.

Got a call from this number, but there was nothing but silence for like 5 seconds, then they just ended the call. Blocked it straight away and just ignoring now!

I’ve had multiple calls from 0203849380 lately. Someone rang up saying my washing machine insurance needed renewing. I already have it covered through a company called DAG, and it’s all paid up. What’s odd is they knew the make and model of my washer, even though it’s second-hand. Not sure how they got hold of my details or where they’re sourcing them from. I’ve blocked the number now - we should all be on the lookout for these dodgy callers!

Got a call about a washing machine warranty for a model i dont have. as soon as i told them i didn’t own that brand, they just gone quiet and ended the call.

Got a bunch of calls from this number on the 29th of May, just let them ring out coz it was really annoying. If it’s important, they’ll leave a message, so no point answering if you don’t recognise the number.

My partner got a call about some sort of warranty renewal for our washing machine, which honestly is not even in his name! The person kept insisting the Hotpoint machine needed a new warranty, trying to get him to share bank info. It really concerns me that they target people like the elderly or anyone who might not know their washing machine warranty status, hoping they'll just hand over bank details thinking it's a legit company. Such sneaky tactics!

I got a call and as soon as I picked up, I could hear the usual call centre background noise. The person on the other end went straight to saying “Hello Mr xxxx,” which is my hubby’s name. I corrected them saying I’m his wife, and then they just hung up on me. Feels a bit dodgy, maybe about some washing machine insurance or something - they tried calling my husband last week too with the same approach. Honestly, I don't reckon I sound anything like a bloke, so it’s weird they got it wrong twice! They really should pay more attention to who answers the phone.

My phone keeps ringing like 3 or 4 times a day from this number, but when I pick up there's nobody there. Tried tracing it, but no luck at all - seems impossible to find out who’s behind it. The TPS doesn’t help one bit, feels like a total waste of time. These calls are just getting more frequent, really annoying!
