This number has tried ringing my work line about four times today, but each time they hang up right after the first ring. I’m definitely going to block it. Feels like they want me to return their call, but I’m not falling for that. It’s pretty annoying!

I got a call from someone saying they were with Legal and General about a life insurance thing. When I said I didn’t think their number was legit or connected to them, they just cut me off straight away. Seems like a scam to me, so I’m going to block that number. Appreciate the heads up!

On the 17th of August, I got a call from the number 020 3839 9989, supposedly from Microsoft warning about my computer’s safety. I just said “Are you serious?” and the person hung up straight away.

Had one of those Microsoft scam calls the other day. I let them go on for like 10 minutes, just playing along, and then I said straight up I knew they were trying to con me. They got all mad and insisted it wasn’t a scam, but when I asked easy questions about Microsoft, they couldn’t answer a single one. Honestly, just a heads up, if you get one of these calls, have a bit of fun winding them up before letting them know you’re wise to it. Stay safe out there!

I recently encountered a rather dubious phone call claiming to be from Microsoft, insisting that my account had been breached and they were eager to assist me. I decided to have a bit of fun and strung them along for a spell, which appeared to frustrate them immensely. When I finally admitted that I was aware it was all a ruse, they really lost their temper! Just a friendly reminder: Microsoft will NEVER ring you out of the blue to discuss your computer issues. Be wary, folks!

Microsoft/Windows called me out of the blue AGAIN! I turned on my PC and saw loads of messages about my account, saying my computer hadn’t been used or charged for like 5 weeks - which is spot on. They then started calling me ignorant. I told “Jennifer” straight up it was a scam, since Windows don’t make random calls. She got all snappy and asked how I could be so sure. I told her to check the official Windows website where it says exactly that. She hung up on me in a huff… well, typical really!

These Saturday morning calls are driving me mad. When I told the person on the phone to stop being so annoying, she shot back saying I was the problem because of some “illegal stuff” I’m supposedly doing online. They’re getting more cheeky these days. Honestly, these lot are predators and couldn’t care less about what’s actually going on at the house they’re ringing. I’ve got enough to deal with without them pestering me like this.

When I pressed him for his identity, he claimed to represent Microsoft. To be quite frank, his English was rather difficult to comprehend.
