They claim to be from some company called 'Consumer UK'. Been pestering my Mum nonstop, ringing her loads and sometimes really early in the morning. The voice always sounds like it's from abroad. Mum’s on the TPS, but they refuse to accept complaints about these so-called 'market research' calls.

I’ve been inundated with calls, sometimes two or three times a day! No matter how many times I plead with them to stop ringing, they persist, claiming they’re looking for Mr Watson-who hasn’t been linked to this number for ages! Whenever I ask who’s on the line, I get some generic English name tossed at me, but it’s blatantly obvious I’m conversing with someone with an Asian accent, and I can hear the hustle and bustle of an office in the backdrop. Even their threats about Ofcom haven’t deterred them. Now, the moment I hear silence on the other end when I pick up, I just cut the call. I’m thinking of investing in a call blocker, as this has become thoroughly irritating after six months of constant harassment since I got this new number.

This company and its employees are nothing but fraudsters. They exhibit a shocking lack of decency, particularly towards our elderly and vulnerable citizens. The incessant calls to those who are at risk are not just irritating - they can be truly distressing. My poor mother has received a staggering 14 calls from them in just a month! Fed up with their harassment, I decided to purchase and set up a Truecall device on her phone. It’s remarkable - seeing how many calls are coming in from places like the USA, Egypt, India, Hawaii, Canada, and various locations across the UK is eye-opening. Each time they ring, I simply jot down the time and later add the number to the Zap list. While it doesn’t completely eliminate their calls, the Truecall gadget ensures the phone doesn't ring unnecessarily and terminates the call while informing them that they are not welcome. It’s disheartening that authorities such as BT or Ofcom aren't able to prevent these nuisances from occurring.

Today, I received a rather intrusive phone call from these individuals who attempted to convince me that by answering a handful of questions, I could ensure an end to these incessant calls. I calmly made it clear that I had no intention of answering their queries - or anyone else's for that matter. I firmly stated that I would be lodging a complaint against them for their aggressive approach and suggested they relay this information to their superiors. Such tactics amount to nothing less than harassment, and it is simply intolerable.

Received a call from someone purporting to be associated with TPS. When I inquired further about how they obtained the quoted address, they seemed rather evasive and eventually hung up. Quite amusing that their call lasted a whopping three and a half minutes!

What a thoroughly unpleasant encounter! I could barely make out what the person was saying, given their thick foreign accent, but they were definitely shouting some name that eluded me. Not sure who they are but got these bt8500 phones back in December 2014, and never had an issue since. No calls get past their automated blocker on the phone base, it's brilliant. It also stops all the other annoying calls as well!

I might be overthinking things here, but I just received a call from this number right after I got off the phone with some dodgy Windows Technical Department scammer. It was practically instantaneous - I mean, I turned off my computer and less than a minute later, my phone rang. They even had the cheek to ask for me by name. When I inquired as to who was on the line, all I got was this eerie message telling me to "please enter your pin"! Quite absurd, don’t you think?

This number rang me earlier and it didn’t show up as anyone I know so I answered but hung up pretty quick. Then within seconds it rang again, I just let it go to voicemail. It called straight back and some guy with an Indian accent asked if I was Mr ##is##¢. I said no, he asked again and I said no a bit louder. The third time I said no quite firmly and he started swearing at me, telling me to f*** off and calling me names. Completely out of order. I’ve reported it to Ofcom and BT.

You know the drill-typical Indian accent coupled with a cacophony of office chatter in the background. Just block or ignore calls from this number! Should you decide to engage and answer their queries, they might relent, but then brace yourself for an influx of calls from even more companies to whom they sell your details.
