Got a call saying our appliance cover had run out. I thought it sounded dodgy so I asked them when the policy ended, and they said 26th July which was wrong. They didn’t say a proper company name I recognised either. What freaked me out was that they actually knew our full names. Seriously, be careful and don’t hand over any info if you get calls like this!

Some bloke called John rang up about renewing my home appliances maintenance deal. It felt totally dodgy, like a bloody scam. He kept asking me my name and whether I was the main person in charge at home - no lie, he repeated the same questions about four times! What a load of rubbish.
