Got this creepy automated voicemail telling me to ring a 'specific number' immediately. Total #SCAM# no doubt. I didn't bother returning the call because if it were really urgent, HMRC would send me something in writing to explain the situation. It's sad how some folks go to such lengths to try and con us! Best just to ignore these calls.

Got a voicemail from this number 02038704535 claiming to be from HMRC and Inland Revenue. When I rang back, the voice on the other end sounded foreign, maybe Indian, warning me about a lawsuit and saying I needed a lawyer urgently. They mentioned sending a letter to my address, but I told them I've not lived there for over a year, so surely HMRC would have that info. Then they just hung up on me. Tried calling the number again and the same bloke picked up but slammed the phone down right away. Definitely dodgy.

I got a call claiming HMRC was after me for some criminal stuff and this was my final warning before court or something. They said I had to ring them back straight away.
