Got a call on 06/01/16 around 11:05am to my number on a priority list. The caller said they were from Axa Insurance. When I told them I didn’t have any life insurance, they just hung up. Later, I tried calling back and an American-accented message said "The number you have dialled is not in service." Pretty clear it wasn’t a legit UK company, just a scammer shutting me down to dodge any complaints. I’ve reported the number to OfCom now - supposed Axa? Highly doubtful.

At 11:05am on 06/01/16, I got a call on my preferred number registered line. The person said they were from Axa Insurance. When they asked if I had life insurance, I told them no, and then they just hung up. I saw a few other people had similar experiences. When I tried calling back, I got an American-accented recorded message saying "The number you have dialled is not in service." It was clear this wasn’t a real UK phone company but probably the scammers ending the call to dodge complaints. I’ve reported the number to Ofcom now. Definitely not Axa, despite what they claimed.

I got a call from a woman with a British accent who insisted I was definitely overpaying for my Life Insurance and wanted to have a chat about it. Before letting her go on, I asked straight up who she was working for, but she refused to say. She did say that their aim was to help folks who might be paying too much, adding she wasn’t from any government department or charity. As soon as I told her her only goal was to take my money, she hung up on me. This felt like a total scam to me.
