Got calls from 02038083924 a few times today, but it just went to my answerphone each time, no messages left. The last ring was around 12:30pm.

the call ended as soon as it hit voicemail, weirdly enough.

Got a call from someone who already knew my name and where I live. They told me the warranty on my washing machine had expired. As soon as I mentioned the machine was over four years old, they just ended the call.

On 03/04/2019 around 2.15pm, I got a call from a chap who gave his name as Albert Jones. The number showed up as 0203808 3924, which seems to be linked to a.tc. Like others have said, he was trying to sell me some kind of discounted insurance, saying it would be £189 for 3 years. He mentioned a Model Bwsd712, but my heater’s a much older Ariston Ai1259mc. When I asked if they were connected to Domestic & General (who I reckon are also scammers), he just cut me off. Really strange and a bit concerning - makes me think a.tc could have bought a list of expired customer details from them.

I've been getting nonstop calls asking for someone called Mr Smith, but they keep using different numbers. Not sure if it's a bunch of scammers using the same trick or just one person sticking to the same game. This has dragged on for about two years now. They're seriously annoying and can get pretty hostile if you don’t humour them. Even when I hang up, they ring me right back, which is proper harassment. I can't figure out what they're trying to achieve with all this!

I got a call from a bloke who actually knew my name, which caught me off guard. He threw in a bunch of random questions just to sound casual, then claimed my washing machine insurance was about to expire. He went on about a big discount since I hadn’t made any claims. Thing is, I never even had insurance with them, so I knew straight away it was dodgy, but he was pretty convincing. When I said I'd need to think it over, he just hung up right away! I reckon anyone less clued up about these scams might fall for it, so if you don’t know the number, better just cut the call.

I got a ring from 0203 80839 24 just now. The person said "hello" and I replied "hi, you've reached wanker radio." He was like, "What?" and I repeated, "You heard right." He asked, "What do you mean?" and I said, "It’s a f***ing radio station, you muppet," then I just ended the call. Haha, bit of a laugh!

Got a call from a lady who knew my name, claiming my washing machine's warranty needed renewing. I was a bit taken aback and asked her which washing machine she meant. She named the brand I actually own, then just hung up. Pretty clear she twigged I wasn’t buying it. I’ve had that machine for 12 years, so I knew the warranty was long expired. If the machine was newer and I wasn’t paying attention, I might’ve easily fallen for it.

Just ignore it, sounds like another bloody nuisance.

Got a call from someone claiming our washer's insurance was nearly up. Thought it was odd since we bought it just last year and it’s got a 40 year Miele warranty. As soon as I pointed that out, he hung up. Blocked the number straight away. Definitely a scammer.
