I got a call from some woman with a really hard to follow accent, saying something about home appliance repairs. Felt like a total rip-off, honestly. Couldn't make much sense of it, quite sketchy really.

I just got a call about a discount on my appliance insurance. They claimed to be from Domestic & General but it felt a bit off. They asked me to verify some info to send forms and gave me a customer service number. When I checked that number, it actually belonged to County Repairs. Didn’t like how sketchy it seemed so I just hung up.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, total silence on the other end. It’s obvious spammers or scammers don’t bother looking at the TPS register, nor do they leave any voicemail.

Got a call from this number today, saying it was HOMECARE offering me some discount since I hadn’t had them out for my washing machine or cooker this year. Problem is, I’ve never even got any cover with HOMECARE. The call came through on my landline. Feels like a total SCAM to me!!!

Got a call about renewing my home appliance insurance (which we already have), so I went along with it - they offered a discount then passed me to a “manager” to confirm payment. I already know we pay by Direct Debit, but this bloke kept saying it had to be paid by card. Told him I wasn’t having any of it and called him out for trying to scam me. I knew straight away it was dodgy, but I kept him chatting for ages to waste his time and stop him hassling someone else.

Another one of those dodgy domestic insurance callers! Reckon it's about time the phone help services got a proper grip on these lot. The lady on the line knew my name and all, tried to check some info but when I told her I hadn’t got any such cover, she kept insisting I did and that I could get a cheaper rate this year. I played along, so she said she'd pop the documents in the post. Now I’m just waiting to see if they actually turn up!

This number has been ringing me half a dozen times in just two days. The first time I picked up, they told me my washing machine’s warranty had expired, which can't be right as it’s only a few months old. Then they switched it up and tried to sell me an extended warranty for £6.99 a month. I told them no thanks and ended the call. Later that day, they called again, and I told them to stop bothering me as I wasn’t interested. Since then, they’ve called four more times but I don’t pick up, and they hang up before I get to the answerphone.
