Got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft trying to get into my computer... stood out as a total scam, especially since I'm on a Mac!

We were out when the phone rang, so the caller left a message on our answering machine. When I played it back, I could hear what seemed like a busy call-centre chatting away in the background. Then, a woman’s voice said “Hello?” two times before the line went dead. I’m pretty sure it was one of those scam calls trying to hook us in.

Rangoon Rita had the nerve to ring back after I called her out as a total fibber the other day. If I ever found where she stays, I’d post her a tin of BRASSO to shine up that dodgy neck of hers. Bet she could even give her grandad’s old rickshaw a good polish with it! What a laugh.

Got a call with no one on the other end. Strange and pretty annoying!

My BT phone showed this number with a big warning saying "INTERNATIONAL", which meant it was probably a spoofed call. Gotta admit, BT nailed it with that alert!

Got a call from some guy called Kevin claiming to be from Microsoft, asking if I owned a computer or even a laptop or a mobile. Told him no to all and then just put the phone down. Also, FYI, my number’s ex-directory so not sure how he got it in the first place.

The moment my answering machine started playing the message saying I don’t pick up unknown numbers, they were already on the phone.

Just got a call on my landline, it first showed as international then switched to a UK number. I usually don’t pick up if I don’t recognise the number anyway. They didn’t even bother leaving a message.

Got a call earlier today but no voicemail was left, so it probably wasn’t anything urgent. Saw some others mentioned the same thing. Last time, my wife picked up and they claimed there was an issue with her computer. She just said no and hung up straight away.

This number keeps ringing, but they hang up as soon as I pick up the phone. Quite annoying, really!

So this guy Leo, claiming to be from Microsoft, rang me up saying my computer’s been hacked. I just laughed and told him to bugger off before hanging up. Then, cheeky bugger, he called me again but I gave him a miss the second time!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Christina at Microsoft saying my PC was hacked or something. I told her straight away it was a load of rubbish and a scam. Then she started getting really pushy, saying she was going to lock my computer down!

Some bloke called saying he was from Microsoft, claiming my computer was hacked. He kept telling me to press certain buttons and asked what was showing on the screen. I kept replying that all I could see was a lovely photo of my granddaughter! After a while, he got annoyed and just hung up on me!

How odd! This particular number seems to originate from London, yet the call I received was flagged as an international one. How on earth does that happen? The woman I spoke to had a distinctly foreign accent. She claimed to be associated with Microsoft, stating she had observed some problems with my computer. I promptly chose to block her number.

My phone showed an international call, but as soon as I picked up, it was just disconnected. Then another scammer tried a different trick to get me to respond. Honestly, it's such a hassle dealing with these annoying calls.

Got a call from some woman with an Asian accent, saying she was from Microsoft about my computer. When I told her I run Linux and wondered why Microsoft would be calling me, she just ended the call straight away.

The number showed up like it was from the UK but the caller ID flagged it as international. A guy, who sounded Asian and called himself "Kevin," claimed to be from Microsoft. He asked me to verify my name, but he butchered the pronunciation even though it’s a pretty usual English name. When I asked him to say his name again and tell me how he got my number, he flew off the handle and started cursing at me. Honestly, the way "Microsoft" support is behaving lately is just shocking.

Didn't leave a message or anything, so I'm guessing it's just another idiot scammer from India or Pakistan giving it a go.

Some bloke with an Asian accent called, saying he was from Microsoft. He reckoned my PC was compromised or something. Told him I’ve got experts handling my computer stuff, and he got all shirty about it. When I said I was about to hang up, he warned he’d cut me off from Microsoft. I just laughed and told him to go ahead. Still on the line, mate!

My phone flagged this as an "International Call," which was odd since the number looked like it was from London. A woman with an Asian accent claiming to be from Microsoft called me - I wasn’t having any of it and ended the call quickly!
