Someone rang claiming to be from British Gas and wanted to speak to the manager. I told them we weren’t customers of British Gas, but they insisted we had been before. I said no, and then they said sorry for the mistake and ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with British Gas, telling me about new rates for next year. I told him we don’t use their service, so he must be mistaken. Best to not answer cuz they try to copy your voice to get into your accounts. Most times they just drop the call as soon as you say hi. Thats their trick and then they end the call. I’ve been messing with them when they ring by talking rubbish and they just hang up or make weird noises down the phone haha.

Got loads of calls off this number, about a year back got the same type of calls pretending to be from "EDF". I phoned EDF direct and they told me it’s a scam. They gave me a password for our account and said if the caller can't give you that password then they’re not EDF. Tried it with this lot today, and it actually worked!

This number has been ringing me multiple times daily, every single day. When I pick up, there’s just silence and the background chatter of a call centre. But today, finally caught someone on the line! A bloke calling himself ‘Gary’ said he was from EON about our electricity. I told him the landlord handles that, but the phone line is mine. Then he started pushing for the landlord’s name. I told them to take my number off their list or I’d complain to OFCOM or whoever. He just said “have a nice day” and hung up. I’m pretty sure the calls won’t stop anytime soon.

Half the time they just hang up, and the other times they claim it’s really urgent and some kind of secret matter, saying they’ve supposedly sent a letter. Positive Energy (Kontact Point) - This bloke just wouldn’t accept no for an answer. Kept insisting he was from EON, but that was dodgy since I’d already spoken to EON like ten minutes before. They said our contract was about to end but we just renewed it last month. She wanted me to note down some prices she was giving. Got a call at work from someone saying he was Steve from British Gas. The guy spoke with a thick accent and seemed to struggle with English and didn’t get my sarcastic tone at all. He said something about being our electricity provider, which is totally wrong. When I told him that, he asked who our supplier was. This number rings me every single day, been at it for around three months now. I’ve got all the calls logged on my phone. The people on the other end are so rude, pushy, and just plain arrogant. It’s definitely some kind of scam trying to switch your electricity provider. They kept insisting I was with EON, which I’m not. Properly annoying and ridiculous. Best to just ignore it.

I've had calls from this number all week, even got two calls just yesterday. The people on the other end claim they're from Scottish Power, checking about renewing my energy contract. But when I rang Scottish Power directly, they said these are dodgy calls aiming to steal your account info or meter details to switch your energy provider behind your back. Proper con artists!

Positive Energy. They also pretended to be from British Gas which was a bit odd. Seem to be run by a bunch of muppets. Had a long chat with them at my work today. First spoke to someone called Samir, then got passed on to a Manager named Michael, then a Branch Manager called John. Told them we only have gas, no electricity. Asked if the gas was ‘high speed’ because we use it to run our computers. They said yes, and that our lights would be just as bright. Gave them the name Mr Zebra and they said they’ll ring me back tomorrow at 5:30, when the office will be empty anyway.

They keep ringing me non stop, like up to 6 times a day starting pretty early from like 8 in the morning. Its really annoying and they just dont listen when I say stop! Seems like they're trying to peddle some energy deal or whatever!

I got a call from 02038073548 earlier today. I didn’t pick up and it went to voicemail. No message was left and the call just ended. I looked up the number and found this info here. Glad I checked the comments!

Got one silent call on 15th June, had background noise that sounded like some sort of radio show. Then on 16th June got two calls from a guy with an Asian accent, he said “Hello, I’m Alex. How are you today?” I just ended the call. Later he rang again and just kept saying hello a few times, and then he hung up when I didn’t answer back. Seems like a scam to me. Really annoying, especially as I’m registered with the TPS.

They phoned me again today, which happens nearly every day. When I called them out on trying to scam me, they said they'd ring from a different number. Sure enough, they rang right back from that number and started shouting horrible insults at me before slamming the phone down. Really awful experience. Definitely report them if you get the chance.

This number has been ringing me up nearly every day for ages. They say they’re from different energy firms and say they’re the ones supplying me. They’re really pushy and quite rude, some might even call it harassment, but I’m not someone who’s easily bothered by that.

Had loads of calls from this bloke over the past few weeks, an Indian guy claiming he's from the electricity company. When I asked who my supplier was, he said N Power, which is wrong. Told him I’m on the TPS and I already told him last week to stop calling. Asked him to take my number off their list as he’s breaking the rules. He just said he’ll ring again next week. Told him again not to call, but he still said he’d be back next week. After going in circles with the same chat, I just hung up. Watch out!
