Beware of a scam call I got! The person claimed to be from Vodafone and Three and said my SIM card would be blocked soon. Totally dodgy!

Today, my landline which is registered with the TPS got a call from this number, but there was no voicemail left. From what I’ve read in other reviews, it seems like it might be connected to 02 phone deals. Problem is, I’ve never had an 02 contract or anything to do with them.

Got a couple of calls from this number, once late last night and then early today. My phone popped up a warning saying it might be a scam. Funny thing is, I’m not even using O2. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it and reported the nuisance. Idiots!

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been getting calls from this number and a few others that sound the same. Took the call for once today. The person on the other end seemed to have a bunch of info about me and tried to sell me a massive discount on my phone charges. When I told them I wasn’t up for it, their tone got all hostile. I just ended the call. Definitely feels like a con to me.

I got a call from someone pretending to be O2, claiming they could give me a discount on my contract. They seemed to know loads about me - my phone’s value, my name, address, even bank details. When I rang O2 to check, they said it wasn’t them at all. They gave me two numbers to verify: one was 020 3807 0309, which was where the call came from, and the other was 0203 6956 797, supposedly for confirming their ID. The guy on the phone said his name was Max Webber and gave me an extension, 11 10. Definitely felt dodgy.

Got a call supposedly from O2, saying I could get 30% off with some special codes. But then I saw others saying the same type of call was from Vodafone, BT, 3 and whatnot. Definitely sounds dodgy to me, so watch out it's probably a scam.

Somebody rang me saying they were from O2 and even got O2 to send a text with verification codes, which you should never share on the phone. They definitely weren’t really from O2 and that discount deal they mentioned was just a con. If I’d given them the code, they might’ve gotten into my account, but luckily I was the right person to answer the phone. I’ve told O2 about the call and all my account stuff is safe now.

Got a call offering 30% off from O2, told them I’m not an O2 customer. They kept asking which provider I use and seemed to ignore when I questioned if they even knew my name. They just repeated they were with O2. Ended up hanging up and blocking the number.

I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming he was with O2. He said he wanted to make sure everything was alright and asked if I was satisfied with my current plan’s cost. Knowing these calls are usually dodgy, I just told him I was fine with the prices, ended the call straight away, then marked it as spam and blocked the number.

I just got a phone call from this number +442038070309, which instantly looked dodgy since it showed up with the country code instead of the regular 0203 format. I’m with O2, but they must be aware I’m not keen on any deals. As usual, I calmly but firmly said no thanks. And honestly, this time I was genuinely polite about it.
