He kept insisting my card was declined but after checking with my bank several times, they told me everything was fine. That’s when I decided to look up his phone number online and realised something was off. Lucky I didn’t agree to send money by bank transfer. Just a word of warning, this guy seems a bit shady. Someone pretending to be David Smith, claiming to be a travel agent from Kayak Flight Limited, tricked me into buying tickets on PAL airlines to Manila for £2700. They asked me to do a bank transfer to Nat West Bank with the details 54-30-34 38306794. After paying, I realised the tickets were completely counterfeit. This all started after I visited the Kayak travel website, but Kayak themselves have denied any connection to this person. Getting a call so soon after checking prices on their site makes me think my info was leaked to this scammer. I've had numerous calls and emails from their number. A family member also got caught out by the same number, losing £1700 on fake airline tickets. [email protected]
