Time and again, he claimed my credit card had been denied. After several frustrating conversations with my bank, who reassured me that everything was in order with my card, I began to sense something was amiss. A quick search of his phone number on the internet raised my suspicions further. I experienced a rather distressing situation recently where someone posing as David Smith, claiming to be a travel consultant from Kayak Flight Limited, defrauded me by selling me flight tickets with PAL airlines to Manila. He requested a bank transfer of £2700 to a Nat West Bank account (54-30-34 38306794). Unfortunately, the tickets turned out to be utterly bogus. My encounter began when I searched for flights on the Kayak travel website; shortly thereafter, I received a call from this individual, despite Kayak denying any connection to him. It raises concerns over the security of my personal information-clearly, my details fell into the wrong hands. I’ve also had multiple calls and emails from this number, and a family member used it too, losing £1700 on a fraudulent booking. If anyone needs to reach out, my email is [email protected].
