4 yearsI received a rather alarming call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, insisting that my computer was in jeopardy. They seemed to know my Microsoft account details and inquired why I hadn’t responded to their previous messages. The caller urged me to power on my computer. I firmly declined, but this set her off, and she became quite confrontational, accusing me of having a data breach that was apparently being exploited online. She went as far as to threaten me with potential jail time! I expressed my displeasure with her tone, but she insisted that it was a grave matter that required urgent attention. After I hung up, she promptly rang back from a different number (004969989858), demanding to know why I had terminated the call, and she continued to pressure me about when I would be available since this situation was dire.
