Someone called wanting to talk to our MD. When I asked what it concerned, they said IT services and claimed to have spoken to him just last week (which was a total fib). We told them that was unlikely since our MD hasn’t been working and we've used the same IT firm for years. Instead of backing down, the caller got angry and accused us of calling him a liar, so we just ended the call. Definitely a spam number with no connection to any genuine IT company. Best to just ignore it.

Got a robocall claiming to be from HMRC, warning me to pay taxes or I’d get arrested. They then put me through to a call centre where they asked loads of personal stuff and said I owed £1200 from an old job. When I told them it was a scam, they just swore at me, proper rude!

‪020 3655 3995‬ rang me earlier claiming to be from HMRC and told me to press 1 to get details about my tax affairs. They then tried to get my personal details and said I was being investigated for fraud and that I'd be arrested. I asked them to prove who they were but they wouldn’t. Told them to stop calling and ended the call. Watch out for these scam calls, there’s loads of them going around now!

Just got a call from a bloke saying he was from the National Crime Agency, number 020 3784 6164. As soon as I picked up, an automated message started, saying my NI number was about to be suspended and my assets would be taken. It asked me to press 1 to talk to the officer in charge. I'm absolutely certain this was a scam and have already reached out to the NCA to check it out.

This number is listed at the end of emails from binaryrobot365. When I called it, it went to someone who clearly had no idea about binaryrobot365 or the person mentioned in the email footer. Looks like they just chuck the number in there to make things seem legit. Definitely feels like a pretty sneaky scam.

It strikes me as a ploy to give the impression of credibility. Honestly, it seems like a rather crafty scam to me.

020 3775 4109 called me twice today, showed up on Truecaller as Crystal Connect Debt. I've never even heard of that firm. The first time I picked up, the line just went dead. The second time, the person asked for my bank info, but when I asked who they were, he just hung up. Very dodgy!

Got a call with no one on the other end when I picked up. Yesterday, the number 0333 003 7377 rang, supposedly from a subcontractor (Capita 2) about renewing an 02 contract. But my contract ended in April, so I reckon these calls are part of some random number generator. I definitely won’t be going back to 02 if this is how they try to get customers.
