Sounds like another batch of HMRC scam calls going round at the moment. HMRC might get in touch this time of year but never by phone call - they usually send letters or emails if you’ve signed up for that. It starts with a robotic message, some dodgy accent, and threatens legal trouble. They claim you haven’t returned some documents, which is obviously nonsense. Then they tell you to press 1 to chat with someone - don’t do it! Just hang up and block the number immediately. It could get worse or even harmful, but at best it’s just annoying harassment.
