The woman on the line wanted me to verify some personal info, which I wasn't comfortable with, so I just said no and she ended the call. I’ve blocked the number now. Strange thing is, she acted like she already knew exactly who I am even though I gave no details.

This morning I got called three times from the same number. I only picked up on the third ring because I was expecting a call from the hospital and thought it might be them. When I answered, there was some background noise which made me think it was either a scam or a sales caller. The bloke actually said my name, but I told him I was waiting on a hospital call. He just kept going on, saying "Man, listen to me," so I ended up hanging up and instantly blocked the number. Honestly, my tip is just don’t pick up or better yet, block it straight away.

This number woke me up early this morning, ringing three times in just five minutes. It’s one of several similar numbers I've been getting bothered by for more than a week now. I’ve blocked all of them, and honestly, my blocked list is longer than my regular contacts! I’ve made it a rule to never pick up unless I’ve looked the number up first because if it’s really important, they’ll leave a voicemail. I don’t get why people reply or call back these numbers - that just tells them your phone is active and makes you a bigger target for scams down the line.

I couldn’t catch the name, the noise in the background made it sound like a dodgy call centre.
