Got a couple of calls yesterday evening from a polite woman claiming there was some dodgy activity on my XXXX bank account and she needed to check my security settings. I told “Mr XXXXXX” thanks but I don’t even have an account with XXXX bank. A bit later, the same number rang again and she repeated the exact same script but this time mentioned a different bank! I reckon it was probably the same person, but the background noises were loads louder that time. Now I’m just waiting to see if they’ll ring back trying different banks to catch me out.
