Received a call this afternoon from someone purporting to be from BT, saying they needed me to switch on my computer to fix an internet issue. Sensing it was a con, I calmly responded that I didn’t possess a computer. That’s when the caller became quite aggressive, questioning why I was wasting his precious time. Just to clarify - you rang me, mate!

Received a call purporting to be from BT, asserting that there had been attempted breaches on our broadband and router lately. When I asked him for my name to verify his credibility, he couldn’t provide it, so I promptly ended the conversation. This outdated scam is still very much in circulation.
