7 yearsGot a call on my landline despite being on the TPS list. From the moment he started talking, it was clear it was some dodgy call centre ringing me up out of the blue. He didn’t even know my name - classic sign of cold calling. When I asked where he’d got my number, he came out with a ridiculous story about people in my area, which is laughable since I live on a remote island in the Hebrides. Then when I challenged why he was ringing someone on TPS, he claimed that list only blocks overseas calls. Can you believe the cheek? After I finally told him off and told him to find some proper work instead of pestering folk who’ve made it crystal clear they don’t want cold calls, he started swearing at me! Definitely not a genuine business then. A real company would’ve apologised long before making their “customer” upset like that.
