Got a recorded message earlier about my Amazon Prime renewal, said it was gonna be £79 and to hit one if I wanted to stop it automatically going through. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.

Got a robo call pretending to be Amazon, saying my account needs renewing and they'll take £79.70 out of my bank. They wanted me to press 1 to chat with some Service Delivery Manager or whatever. Just blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent saying he was from Amazon's security team. He somehow got hold of my landline, even though I'm unlisted. He told me someone in Devon had made an order on my Amazon account and asked if I was aware of it. It all sounded pretty dodgy. I told him I didn’t even have an Amazon account, but he tried to check my name anyway. Then he just said “oh, wrong number” and hung up. Suspicious to say the least.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Amazon about purchases on my account. When I tried to find out if the charges were on my card or bank account, she dodged the question and kept telling me to check my emails instead. It was pretty obvious she was trying to scam me and get into my account.

just got a call earlier from someone claiming I’d bought a smartphone. they were really pushy about it, but I wasn’t buying it and hung up straight away. seconds later, the same number called again but from a different phone this time, must’ve been after I said something. seriously, don’t answer these calls!

I got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming my Amazon account was under attack. They kept pushing me to click on a link and install TeamViewer. They were really pushy and even made me check the event viewer app, which naturally showed loads of scary errors. They’ve called me about three times now, saying they're just trying to help. Earlier, I had a recorded call saying my Barclaycard was compromised, which turned out to be a lie. I can't help but think the two calls might be linked. Seriously, watch out and don’t trust these calls.

Got a call on my home phone from a guy with an Indian accent, going on about someone attempting to buy a pricey £400 smartphone in my name. He asked if I’d recently checked my emails, trying to freak me out. I told him I’d reach out to Amazon directly and then ended the call. This was the second time that same number had called me. The first time, it was a robotic voice about my Prime subscription needing to be renewed, telling me to press 2 to talk to someone. I knew exactly when my subscription was up, so I just hung up. Definitely a scam.

When I pressed him for his identity and the reason behind the call, I simply said, "Oh, is that so?" Next thing I know, the cheeky bugger hung up on me! Can you believe that? Absolutely laughable!
