- Is that Mr. Blaser I’m speaking to? (Blaser is my surname)
my reply:
- yes
- it’s from EDF
- then my caller hung up
This number rings me every single day, and I usually ignore it. Today, however, I decided to pick up.

This number keeps ringing me quite a lot, and, similar to others, there’s never anyone on the line. I can’t help but worry that it might be costing me money.

I keep receiving calls regarding these "boiler grants" from a firm called PBC or PVC. They clearly ignore the Telephone Preference Service, which is quite frustrating. Despite me informing them that we don’t actually possess a boiler, they persist in ringing me up with these ridiculous offers! It's baffling how they conduct their business!

This number has tried to get in touch with us no fewer than six times, and each time we pick up, they just cut the line. On the most recent couple of occasions, we've clearly asked them to stop calling, but it seems they're not quite grasping our message.

I began receiving calls from a firm called BVC on the 16th of March, 2016, all concerning boilers. I made it quite clear that my property is a rental, yet they continued to ring me on several occasions, specifically the 23rd and 30th of March, followed by calls on the 1st, 4th, and 5th of April. Honestly, I wish someone would take the time to clarify what "rental" means to them! - Caller: BVC

Yet another unsolicited phone call from what seems to be a dodgy government scheme about replacing my heating boiler.

I've had this number ring me twice within four hours, but there's silence on the other end. When I attempted to return the call, it turns out the number's unrecognised. Quite odd, really!

Just a friendly reminder to pick up some milk on your way back - the number that called was 02037697230.

I’ve been inundated with an incessant barrage of silent calls-eight, to be precise, in just two short days! All from a number that’s marked as UNKNOWN and doesn’t even belong to a familiar area code, directed at my TPS-registered landline. It's beyond frustrating! By the way, John pointed out something I hadn’t realised: 0203 has actually been a London area code since the turn of the millennium-who knew? I recently discovered that these 0203 numbers can fetch about £3 a month on the market, allowing anyone worldwide to masquerade as a Londoner. Unbelievable, isn’t it? (Check this out: www.lovemoney.com/news/28892). I’m determined to report every silent and suspicious call through http://consumers.ofcom.org.uk/complain/phone-and-broadband-complaints/privacy. If enough of us raise our voices, OfCom might just spring into action and shut down these nuisances!

I've been bombarded with silent calls - a staggering eight times in just two days! All from a mysterious number not linked to any specific location, ringing my TPS-registered landline. Honestly, it's infuriating! I had a bit of a learning curve, too; turns out, as pointed out by a chap named "John" on WhoCalledMe.com, that the 0203 prefix has indeed been part of the London area since the year 2000 - cheers for that info! It seems these 0203 numbers can be picked up for around £3 a month, allowing dubious characters to masquerade as being based in London, which is just rotten (check out www.lovemoney.com/news/28892 for the full rundown). I've decided to report every single silent or dodgy call I receive to Ofcom via their complaint portal at http://consumers.ofcom.org.uk/complain/phone-and-broadband-complaints/privacy. If we keep submitting complaints, Ofcom might finally take action and get rid of these pests!
