02037695529 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02037695529 👆 is reported as a persistent scam involving callers claiming to represent "Telephone Preference Management," an unauthorised entity falsely associated with the legitimate, free UK Telephone Preference Service (TPS). Callers, often with South Asian accents and operating from call centres, are known to use publicly available personal information such as names and addresses to appear credible. They solicit confirmation of sensitive financial details, including debit card expiry dates and bank account numbers, under the pretext of upgrading or renewing nuisance call blocking services. Victims are advised not to share any personal or financial information, to block these numbers, and to report such calls to appropriate authorities. This fraudulent activity targets vulnerable individuals and exploits trust in genuine regulatory bodies but has no official affiliation with TPS.

Caller: unidentified When I tried returning the call, an automated voice came on, instructing me to “leave a message.” I thought better of letting my frustration spill out, so I simply ended the call instead.

THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM. I got the same call as others here, trying to mess with my elderly mum. Just BLOCK THIS NUMBER AND TELL THEM TO **** OFF. The awful person who rang my mum’s landline was using this number: 02373881266

Got a call from some Indian guy about upgrading Telecom Preference Management Call blocking. He claimed I pay by direct debit and said I gave them my card info before as ID, but I never did. Then he said my card's expired and asked if I had a new one. Definitely not legit - they kept trying to get the card number on the back and expiry date, which is dead suspicious.

Got two calls from 02871217934 earlier today about upgrading my status to avoid nuisance calls. The lady on the phone spoke with an Asian sounding accent (sorry, can't be more specific). I didn’t get as far as giving any info like bank details since I was at my computer and quickly looked them up, finding lots saying it’s a scam. I called them out and asked to have my details deleted from their records. She was pretty pushy but as soon as I said I was a solicitor, she just ended the call.

Got two calls today from the same bloke claiming to be from Telephone Preference Management. Both times, he said he wanted to help stop nuisance calls and told me I was already on the TPS list, so I should leave him alone. I told him TPS is a UK service, and he insisted they’re based in west London. Really pushy guy - I hung up, blocked the number 020 3489 0252, and reported it to the official TPS.

01214581113 has rung me 6 times today. I missed the first call but picked up the second, and some bloke said he was from telephone preference management, asking if I was getting spam calls. I told him I’m signed up to TPS and that he’s got nothing to do with them, so he shouldn't be calling me. He kept cutting me off, so I had to tell him to bugger off and hung up. Since then, I’ve had another 4 calls from the same number. I put in a complaint through the TPS website but not sure if it’ll make any difference.

I got a call just like the ones others have mentioned, but from 0114437980. Weirdly, they seemed to know loads about me and tried to double-check things, even asking for my card’s new expiry date, which I didn’t give. I told them I’m on the TPS and use Call Protect, so I’m not interested in any offers. It’s scary how much info they seem to have.

Over the past couple of weeks, I've gotten loads of calls, had two just this morning. They claim they can stop nuisance calls and want me to verify my name and address, which I refuse to do. One guy even asked for my phone number! I told him he should already know it since he's calling me. The two numbers that rang today were 01275656946 labelled as international and 0011249618062, also marked international. I block them on my phone, but then a different number pops up and calls me.

This Tele preference thing is a joke. Got calls twice yesterday and 7 times already today! They even know my name but I just ignore them. The number is 02070434590 but you can’t ring them back. Had a call earlier from an Indian bloke saying my phone preference service was running out and if I didn’t renew, I'd get like 60-80 calls daily. I told him “brilliant, I’m that lonely, that many calls would cheer me up!” He wasn’t too happy about that. He didn’t even know my name or where I live, which was a massive red flag. Plus, he kept trying to talk over me the entire time, which felt dodgy. Just hang up on these lot - they’re only after your info to rip you off.

I've gotten quite a few calls from folks with an Indian accent claiming to be from Telephone Preference Management. I usually just say 'No thanks' and hang up straight away. I don't find these calls scary, but I can see how others might. The numbers are never shown, so I have no idea who's calling. They often ring at annoying times, like when I'm making tea or cooking. To me, that's a bit of harassment. If my husband picks up, the phone gets slammed down too, and again, the number's kept private.

Telephone Preference Management rang my elderly and vulnerable Mum 8 times on Tuesday alone, so much that she just stopped answering and ended up missing a call from her OT. It was obvious they were fishing for her bank information. When she refused and said she wouldn't share any details, the caller rudely told her to “get lost”. I’m absolutely furious! Especially since she's signed up with TPS! How do these firms think it’s acceptable to try and exploit people like her? It’s disgraceful.

I've had a few calls from someone claiming to be from Telephone Preference Management. Today, they asked to have a word with a supervisor. The caller ID just said "INTERNATIONAL", no actual number. The voices all sounded Indian. They wanted to verify my name but I refused, as I'm always cautious. I told them Telephone Preference wouldn’t be calling me directly. They then said my service was near expiry, which they should’ve mentioned before. They seemed quite frustrated and puzzled by how I handled it.

I told him I’m already on the telephone preference service list but that’s no use against overseas calls. As soon as I said that, he just ended the call. I’ve now blocked that number on my phone.

Got bombarded with six calls from TPM today, each claiming to be from different places like Margaret Street, Old Compton, and Maidenhead in Berkshire, but all spouting the same script. Had a laugh messing with them. One of the callers actually got annoyed and said I was 'wasting her bloody time'! Loved that. One call showed the number 02040639213 on the 1471. Tried calling back, just silence, no answer. Honestly, the more we mess with these lot, the less time they’ve got to scam folks. Enjoy!

Today I got a call from someone claiming to be from Telephone Preference Management, gave me a Customer Care number 2036300351. The woman on the line asked for my bank details saying they needed to update their records. Then a guy named Peter came on, telling me I owed £20 for some kind of lifetime fee to stop all cold calls. I kept asking where they were calling from, and only after I pushed hard did he give me an address - 70 Margaret St, London. Both had a noticeable Asian accent which made me really question if the call centre was actually there. Eventually, I just ended the call.

I got a ring from 02086464110 and it was someone from Telephone Preference Management again. Honestly, it's just like all the other calls I've had from that number before. R

This morning, I got a call from 02030639213, but the connection was awful and the person on the other end spoke really poor English.

Got this call from some person saying they were from the telephone preference service. They told me they supposedly had my card info but had frozen all payments, and then asked for the middle eight digits to confirm my identity. Yeah, right. Me and my husband had a laugh messing with them, feeding them random numbers like our library card and so on. They kept pushing really hard, which was quite annoying. I'm honestly relieved I'm not older or more vulnerable, bet some might fall for that!

Today, on the 1st of November 2016, I got a call from someone named Martin who said he was from Telephone Preference Management. It was an Indian guy working at a call centre, using the exact same script that others have mentioned before. When I questioned him, he just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from this number: 001125639428. The bloke, sounded Asian, saying he was from Telephone Preference Management, asking if my bill had been settled by Direct Debit. I said no, and he insisted I was wrong. Then he asked for my account number, basically trying to get my credit or debit card digits. I refused to give it out and he tried to guess the first few numbers. When I told him none of my cards start like that, he clearly got fed up and just hung up.

Had a pretty similar one - those robocalls through the Telephone Preference Service are getting ridiculous. A guy said he was Martin at first, then switched to David halfway through, and ended up throwing out 4 different phone numbers when I warned him I’d report him to Action Fraud. The funniest bit? He got all annoyed at me for wasting his time after I kept feeding him fake debit card digits when he tried to charge me £71 to stop the spam calls! The nerve, honestly!

Got a call from 0203 769 2006, but I didn’t pick up. I rang them back and some automated voice started saying I’d won something. I just hung up and blocked the number. Can someone tell me if they can hack into my mobile from this? Really worried here, thanks.

Picked up the phone, was some bloke with an accent claiming to be from a busy call centre, asking if I’m still getting annoying calls. Sounded believable since he already had my name and address. But then he asked about a direct debit and if my card was about to expire - that’s when I got suspicious. Told him no and just ended the call. It’s mad how easy it is to almost fall for these crooks!

Got a call from Sandra 4002 claiming to be from Telephone Preference mgt on 0203 807 3871. She offered to stop all sales calls if I paid £63 for a device that plugs into your phone socket - apparently no extra charges after that. I told her I'd look into it and get back to her, and she said she'd ring me again in three days. After reading what other people have said, you can probably imagine what I made of it.

Got a couple of calls today (7th September 2016) from 02030639123. The caller said they were from Telephone Preference Management and asked if I was still getting annoying calls. When I cheekily said “Just from you lot,” the person on the end didn’t take it well, said I was wrong, and then cut the call. Quite the strange experience!
