The number 02081330598 keeps ringing our business line daily. They've claimed there's a fault with our electricity meter and that we're being charged too much. Today, the guy gave me National Grid’s emergency electrical problems number as his own contact. Really sketchy, checked with our energy supplier and this should honestly be stopped.

What a dreadful experience I had on the phone! A chap, claiming to be named George, spoke with a distinctly foreign Indian accent. Right from the outset, he had the audacity to be quite menacing, insisting that he was some sort of authority and that he had the right to ring up anyone at any time. Honestly, the cheek!

This phone number is clearly a scam trying to trick you into switching your supplier by pretending to be from the national grid. Just so you know, the national grid never rings you up to change your energy provider. My advice, based on what my energy company told me, is to set a security password on your energy accounts - my supplier EDF offers this. If someone calls about your energy supply, ask for the password. If they’re legit, they’ll give it, otherwise, they’ll just hang up (been there, done that loads of times). Hopefully this helps someone out there!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent wanting to speak to the boss about some overseas electricity bill linked to the biz. I didn’t say I was the owner, but when I told him there was no such account he insisted there was, claimin they’d just got the info. Then he told me to “stop messing about and …” I said, “Excuse me?” in a proper annoyed way and he just hung up. So rude!!!

Someone rang the place where I work, asking to speak with the owners. When I said they weren’t in, he told me to stop messing about and then asked me out for dinner. I said no, and he suddenly got quite pushy. Honestly, one of the weirdest calls I’ve ever had!

Then she passed me onto a woman pretending to be a 'Manager' who wanted me to grab an energy bill to discuss. I ended the call and hung up. Clearly a scam trying to get info about our energy provider and bank details. I'm on the TPS list but they clearly don't follow the rules.

So a bloke calling himself Kevin Marshall phoned saying he’s from the National Grid, trying to “help” with supposed overcharging from our electricity company. He asked for our account info and meter serial number. It’s definitely a scam and the police really ought to step in. These cheeky fraudsters are getting away with it far too easily. Got another ring from those same Indian idiots, they wanted to speak to the owner but wouldn’t say who they were first. I grilled them for their info till they just hung up. The woman called herself Sara and said her boss was Vilal Hussain, apparently from UK Energy Services. I messed about with him knowing it was a scam and he ended up dropping the call.

Got another call from an indian scammer trying his luck. This time he called himself something like villa aim and said he was from n power. He tried to scam our existing supplier but got a firm no. Then he started cussing, so I gave him some indian swear words back which seemed to catch him off guard. After that I played a silly indian swearing song until he hung up, didn’t want him messing with our phone.

Got a call from some bloke called billa sam, said he was from the services team at n power. Tried fishing for info about our gas and electricity suppliers, which we didn’t give out. Asked for our name too, again we said no. We let him explain his “deal” and told him straight up it was way too pricey and we weren’t interested. Then he just told us to “f##k off!” lesson learned: don’t hand over any info to these Indian scam callers.
