I recently received a rather unpleasant phone call from a claims company dealing with staged accidents. The chap on the other end, who sounded like he might have an Arabic background, was shockingly rude and called me some rather vile names. It's astonishing to think they rake in anywhere between £450 and £800 for every claim they pass along to lawyers. Just so you know, the next time you contact me, you’ll be greeted with a loud whistle!

They asked how serious the crash was, so I told them it was pretty severe, joking that I’d been decapitated. Then they wanted the details and mentioned I could be entitled to a big payout. After a bit, they figured out I was having a laugh and said I was just wasting their time. I told them the feeling was mutual since they were trying to get me to make a dodgy claim.
