Got a call from some woman claiming to be from a home repairs company, asking for my mum who’s actually passed away. I kept asking her questions, and then she said she’d call back later before just hanging up on me. Tried checking the number with 1471, and it showed this same number, but when I tried to call it back, the line just wouldn’t connect. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Got a call from a woman who somehow slipped past BT Call Protect, only giving a first name that just so happened to match someone we know. She asked if she was speaking to my wife by name and said she was from some home improvement company, though she didn’t finish her sentence properly. I told my wife to just hang up right away. I then dialled 1471 and checked the number - turns out it was the same one that had been ringing us non-stop before we set up BT Call Protect, which I confirmed by digging up an old note in my diary.

Got two calls from this number today. My missus picked up and the bloke claimed he was from Safestyle, saying they’re now offering additional services alongside their usual stuff. She told him we weren’t interested and he said the offer would be good for six months. Then, about eleven minutes later, they called again from the same number and repeated the same spiel. Again, we said no thanks and they hung up. Have blocked the number now.

Got a call where the woman asked if she was talking to my mum. I told her to explain herself since my mum’s been gone for years now. She just kept on going about me winning a £500 voucher, totally ignoring what I said. I had to ask again if she actually heard me when I said my mum had passed away. I quickly worked out she was running a scam, probably had my mother’s info without permission, and hung up the phone. Not a single sorry or any attempt to acknowledge what I’d said, just didn’t pay any attention at all.

They go by the name Home Solutions but won’t actually say where they’re located or give any info about how to make a complaint. I’ve asked them loads of times to take off my personal info - like my name, address and phone number - from their records since they’ve got it without my permission. They keep saying they’ll delete it but honestly, I don’t trust that they ever will.

They go by the name of Home Solutions now, but I distinctly remember them as UK Renovations not too long ago. I've explicitly requested that they refrain from calling me again and erase my information from their records, yet it seems to fall on deaf ears. I'm starting to think that my contact information may have been shared without my permission by a company called Virgo Home Improvements, which, as luck would have it, is no longer trading and was based in Bradford. Quite the nuisance, if you ask me!

It was some women speaking with an Indian accent, which made me suspicious it's likely a scam coming from India again. They claimed to be from a home improvement firm I've never come across, but somehow they had my name and told me about a £500 voucher. The incessant ringing goes on endlessly when I choose not to answer, sometimes for as long as five minutes! I got a call on my Czech mobile from a guy in London, UK, who had a pretty thick Russian accent. He was pushing some forex thing, said it was a way to generate extra income. I didn’t catch the company name properly, but it smelled like a typical forex scam to me.

I just noticed a missed call from this number while I’m here in Czechia. Looking at the data on this site, loads of people have been searching for it, some just moments before me.
