Got a call supposedly from Amazon asking for my mum’s card info, claiming it was for security reasons. Absolute scumbags preying on the elderly. Shameless scammers who should be ashamed. Blocked their number straight away!

Had a call from them yesterday morning, but luckily they didn't even attempt to get past my new call blocker. Looks like from what others have said here, they’re scammers anyway. So, big win for the phone! Got the BT Decor 2600 with TrueCall for about £24 from Currys - honestly, best money I've spent in ages. Finally some peace and a happy missus too!

TOTAL SCAMMERS! They try to trick you into handing over your bank details by pretending they’re from a legit company. Never share even your postcode or say yes to your last name. Just end the call and block the number if possible. I rely on BT Call Protect since I’m with BT, but I don’t know if other landlines have similar features. The key is to stay alert - these folks are pure con artists!

Just like some others have said, I got a call saying my Sky TV insurance had run out. I told the person I don't even have Sky, and they quickly hung up on me. Total scam.

0203 769 1889 keeps popping up calling me! I've had calls from numbers alike before and I’m sure it’s just a scam. I usually just block straight away and don’t bother calling back - heard it can end up costing you a fortune if you do. Better safe than sorry. - Geoff F

this number keeps ringing me loads throughout the day, I usually ignore it but today I picked up. A guy with an Asian accent called himself Mark and said my sky equipment insurance had expired. Thing is, he gave me a completely wrong name and address for the account, so I’m not bothering to answer next time.

Got a call on Saturday morning around 9am, and as soon as I said hello, the line just went silent. When I rang back, the voicemail was all over the place, talking about my set top box warranty being up or something like that. Complete rubbish. After seeing what others have said here, I’m pretty sure it’s dodgy.

Got a call just before 6 this evening from some bloke trying to get me to renew my Sky subscription. Thing is, I aint got Sky at all. When I told him that, he started saying all sorts of nasty, inappropriate things before hanging up on me. Honestly, I wish someone would shut this number down for good.

Just got a call around half an hour ago from a young woman with an Asian accent, but her English was quite hard to understand. She began by saying my name and mentioned something about my Sky contract needing renewal soon. When I asked her to explain more, the call suddenly dropped. Sounds like one of those typical scam calls trying to fish for details, which is really annoying and a waste of time. Plus, it could be risky if they’re after personal info!

Another dodgy call, started off with "your Sky breakdown cover needs renewing," which is funny coz I've never even had Sky. I accidentally mentioned I was with tsp, and the bloke quickly jumped in to say I meant tpsil. Clearly they know they're skirting the rules but don't give a toss. I got a call from 02037691889 saying they were from the DVLA about getting rid of the free licence for over 75s. They told my mum she had to start paying and even offered to sort it out for her. Luckily, because she struggles with hearing, she quickly ended the call since she couldn’t follow what they were saying. I’m pretty sure if she’d stayed on the phone, they’d have pushed her to hand over some money.
