Got a call about some insurance query, they wanted my date of birth for a supposed data protection check. I didn’t give it and said no. Then they went ahead and sent me a text as well. Bit iffy if you ask me. If this was a genuine firm, surely their phone numbers would be listed openly somewhere to stop people worrying about possible phone scams. Felt a bit dodgy all round.

Got a text pretending to be from Barclays about some Airbnb payment, total scam! They’re trying to trick you into thinking it’s legit, but don’t fall for it. I nearly did until I checked properly. Keep an eye out for stuff like this!
