Got a call from someone who said he was from a legit survey group, just wanting to ask me five questions. The guy said his name was Stephen, but his accent was super thick Indian. You could tell he was just reading off a script. When I asked him what the purpose of the questions was, he told me he wasn’t trying to sell me anything and then he just ended the call.

This number keeps calling us nonstop, like 5 or 6 times daily! They’re always asking for someone we don’t know at all. We keep telling them it’s the wrong number, but they won’t give up, pushing hard to get details out of us. Sometimes it’s a guy, sometimes a woman, and they speak so unclear it’s hard to follow. It’s really annoying.

This number has been bugging me nonstop. I don’t engage at all, just ask where they got my details from and to take me off their list, asking nicely not to be called again. Doesn’t seem to do any good though, as they keep ringing. Sometimes they say it’s a government survey, other times they’re pushing PPI deals. But it’s always the same caller ID. The people on the line speak with strong accents and it’s a struggle to catch what they’re saying. I just want them to stop ringing both my mobile and my landline, but no matter what I say, they don’t stop. Most times they hang up as soon as I start asking about their company or telling them to remove me from their records. Proper annoying!

I keep getting calls at work from these people who never get my name right. They always ask me to verify an outdated postcode, which I’ve told them loads of times to remove from their database. Still, they won’t stop ringing. I never give out my real name, yet they persist trying to get info from me. This time, they claimed they were doing a survey for The UK Council, but before that it was something about Dorchester County Hall - what a load of rubbish. I kept questioning the bloke about where he was calling from, and when I wouldn’t back down, he just hung up on me. I’m just curious - how exactly are they getting hold of our old postcodes to begin with?

A lady with very broken English somehow knew my full name and gave me an address I haven’t lived at in years. She wanted me to confirm or update it, so I asked where she was ringing from. She kept saying something like “UK County Poll” and claimed there was a serious court survey going on. I told her that sounded dodgy, and asked again which company she was with. She said “S.O.”. I then asked to speak to a manager and told them to remove me from their list immediately - no more calls please. I have a feeling “S.O.” stands for http://www.simplyoutbound.com/ but not totally sure.

I got a call from a lady with an Indian accent, and honestly, I could barely catch what she was saying. She said something about the UK House of Studies, but I had to ask her to say it like four times because it just wasn’t clear. Then she went on about a street I used to live on and asked if my postcode was BN* ***. I told her I’d moved ages ago since I don’t live there anymore. After that, she just ended the call. Bit odd if you ask me.

So I rang the number and when it asked me to press 1, I did. After a bit, an Indian lady picked up and told me she was from Simply Outbound, doing a survey about some kind of home product.

I got a call from this number while waiting to hear back from the hospital, so I picked up since the caller ID showed the number. A bloke answered and actually knew my name, so I thought it was them and said "this is [my name]." Then he started talking but I honestly couldn’t make out a single word because of his thick accent. He repeated himself a few times and I just caught something like "not selling" or whatever. When I told him again I didn’t understand, he sounded annoyed. That’s when I figured out it wasn’t the hospital at all and just hung up. Whoever you are, if you’re gonna run a scam call business, please at least hire people who speak proper English! So frustrating.

Got a call from these lot yesterday but had no clue what they were on about - I tried asking who they were representing and they just hung up on me.

Now they’ve called once more - Seriously, leave me alone already! Grrr!

They had my address and name down, even though I never gave it to them. Tried to get me to answer some questions, but I just said no.

Got a call from this number, it was a lady speaking with a really strong accent. She brought up something about County Hall, that’s the only reason I actually listened. She then went on with some sort of market research questions, but when she started asking about PPI, I just ended the call straight away.
