Each time, it was a different name they gave, along with three varying company titles. They all insisted they were merely conducting surveys. I just received a rather peculiar phone call. They were probing me about my previous residence, which I vacated seven years ago. Their inquiries revolved around my energy supplier, loans, credit cards, and even the newspaper I used to read. I received a call from an Indian gentleman claiming to represent the British Household Department. He had my previous address, postcode, and my maiden name, all of which are information I haven’t used in over five years!
