I've discovered that this number belongs to a business named PLYBAY, and they’ve been dipping into my mobile account without my consent, which is quite unacceptable.

Totally a scam. Got a message from BleepPlay, which is apparently run by Thumbtime. The only director shown on Companies House is someone called Rashmi Pandya, who works as an accountant. They charged me £4.50 four times for stuff I never asked for or used. [email protected] seems to be the email linked to them. The last time I messaged a premium number was when I gave money to the Wayne Rooney charity, so really not happy about this at all.

Total rip off. Got a message from BleepPlay, which is apparently a trading name for Thumbtime. The only director I found on Companies House is some Rashmi Pandya, an accountant. They charged me £4.50 four times for stuff I never asked for or used. [email protected][###] looks like the email they use. The only premium rate number I’ve ever texted was to make a donation to the Wayne Rooney foundation.

Had the exact same experience, got charged £9 for absolutely nothing. Vodafone wasn’t much help, just told me to get in touch with the company responsible to sort out stopping the direct debit that’s taking money without my permission. Tried reaching out to thumbtime and loads of other linked firms, no luck so far. Planning to report it to the regulator first thing Monday morning to see if they can sort it. I’ll update here next week if anything changes.

Just realised playoosh has been taking £4.50 each week for a few weeks now, adding up to £72, even tho Ive blocked and ignored their texts. Ive put their number on my phone’s auto block list but no idea if I’ll get any of my money back from these muppets.

Got a random text from Playoosh claiming I’d signed up for a £4.50 weekly subscription. Reached out to O2 and they promised to refund the £4.50 charged and block any more payments. They never did. Called O2 again and was told I need to sort it directly with the company, Thumbtime Ltd, registered office at 22 Upperton Gardens, Eastbourne. Funny thing is, that address has like 200 companies on it so it’s clearly just a front. The only director is a Mr Rashmi Pandya, an accountant, living at 6 Watford Road, Northwood, Middlesex HA6 3NR.

I had to split my message into three parts because it’s too long to send all at once. Just a heads up, 02037509078 and 02037509076 are linked to a dodgy scam involving games. They end up charging your phone bill under the name “Charity Donation.” The address they use is for Thumbtime Ltd, which is actually OBC Accountants, BN21 2AH. Watch out for this!

I looked into the landline 02037509078 and found it linked to a company called Thumbtime Ltd, based at 2 Upperton Gardens, Eastbourne BN21 2AH. Some names connected to this are Ms Dace Viesture, Mr Garry Pattenden, and Rashmi Pandya. There’s also mention of another company, Socman Ltd, plus an email that looks dodgy: [email protected][###]. Haven't even scratched the surface with what else might be going on here. Just to say, sent a copy of this info over to OBC Accountants on 01323 720555 for them to check out. What a mess!

Following up on this, I’m putting in everything I’ve got to get to the bottom of this scam and fraud situation. Below is a copy of the message I sent to OBC Accountants, phone number 01323 720555. Also, I’m involving Thumbtime, the Charity Commission, and BBC investigative reporter Dom Littlewood. Dear Sir or Madam, It appears your firm may either represent or have some awareness of the company Thumbtime, or Socman, Bleepplay, or individuals like Ms Dace Viesture, Garry Pattenden, or Rashmi Pandya.

A sum of money has gone missing from my mobile account, supposedly as a donation to a charity. Please let all those companies and people know that if the money taken from my phone isn’t returned straight away, I will have no option but to report this to the Charity Commission and also get Dom Littlewood from BBC Investigations involved to look into what’s really happening here. Rang Vodafone and they said it was some charity donation (like I’d have missed that) and said they’d make sure it stops. Vodafone won’t give me a refund and told me to call the number taking the money. Not too sure I wanna do that in case it’s a premium rate. Anyone know what I should do? I got a rather alarming message claiming I was signed up for a service called Ropeninja, costing me £4.50 weekly. It instructed me to text STOP to 89365 if I wanted to cancel. They also provided a helpline number, 2037509078. I immediately contacted Vodafone, and they were quite helpful; they assured me they'd reached out to the service and unsubscribed me from it, plus blocked the dubious number to prevent any further hassle. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this does the trick. It's truly unsettling that such a dodgy operation can just send you a text and start siphoning money away without any consent or actual sign-up on your part!

Got a message saying I’ve signed up to ropeninja costing £4.50 a week and to text STOP to 89365 to cancel. They also gave this number, 2037509078, as a help line. Rang Vodafone and they dealt with it for me, said they contacted them to unsubscribe my number and put a block on the scam number so it can’t bother me again. Fingers crossed that sorts it. Really unsettling that these dodgy companies can just send texts like that and start billing without any proper consent or real subscription.

How can people put an end to this? I got caught out by a scam charging me a weekly fee as well. Two weeks back, i managed to reach customer service (maybe a bad move) - the automated system sounded very genuine with just one choice to cancel the service, so i did. Yet, they're still withdrawing money from my bank. 02 say they can't, or won't, do anything about it even though it’s a premium rate number.

this number is linked to a texting scam that hits you with charges straight away when a dodgy website opens on your phone. it tells you that you’ve signed up for a premium adult site costing £4.75 a week! this scam has been using various 0203 750 numbers before, always using the same “customer service” number which never helps to cancel the subscription. check out ee, o2 and giffgaff forums for info on the text number 89365. seriously, don’t text that number - just google it with your provider’s name to see what’s going on.
