Today I got a call from 020 3739 7976, and the person said they were from EE. They claimed to have looked over my account and offered a 40% discount on my existing plan for a year. At first, the connection was so bad I couldn’t catch what they were saying, but they rang me back on a clearer line. They asked me to verify some personal info, yet couldn’t provide any proof they were genuinely from EE. Something felt off to me, so I just ended the call.

Total rubbish scam, I played along and if I was silly enough to believe them, they would’ve got my bank info that they kept asking for over and over. When I said I was calling my sister from the bank since she’s got my numbers and I don’t (been caught out before), I caught a rude word that really wasn’t on and then they just hung up.

Got a robotic message claiming it was from HMRC, saying I owed money and there was a warrant out for me. When I got through to an agent, he started asking for my personal info, which I refused to give. I told him if it was really HMRC, they’d already have my details before calling me. He said it was me who reached out, so I told him my name was Mr T (I'm actually a woman 😂). Then he asked for my full address and National Insurance number, so I gave him "1 A Team Drive" and my NI number as "number 1" 🤣. He didn't find that very funny and just hung up on me 🤣.
